Chapter 404 Something I Need You to Do 

Yvonne grinned. Her eyes were taunting Claude‘s pointless struggle.

No one argued with Claude again, and the meeting was dismissed.

Gloria didn‘t move until the others went out.

Angela came up and grabbed her arm. “There is something I want to ask you.”

Gloria turned around, scanned the conference room equipped with cameras, and smiled. “You want to do it here?”

Angela gritted her teeth and said without loosening her grip, “Come with me.”

Gloria pulled out her arm and snorted in a voice only audible to the two of them, “Cousin, I have a lot of work to do. Two of the five clients you gave me haven‘t struck a deal with me yet. Since you‘re suspended, I don‘t think you can give me instructions anymore. We can talk after my shift is over.” 

Without another look at the furious woman, Gloria headed toward her office.

Angela was pissed off.

Bitch! I own this company, remember? 

She gnashed her teeth. Everyone was laughing at her today. Ashamed of her suspension, she was unwilling to stay in the office for another second.

Words would spread. That vindictive woman would let everyone know that she overruled the case.

If things went on like this, Gloria‘s dream of working with the Brown Group would come true.

Claude gave a helpless laugh. “Now you‘re like a burnt child dreading the fire.”

“Argh.”

“It’s okay, sweetheart, don‘t worry about it. Gloria‘s shares are in my hands, and she has nothing. Even if she rose to the top, without any shares, she could not become a decision–maker. What are you afraid of?”

Angela chewed over his words and no longer dreaded Gloria that much. However, the uneasy feeling lingered.

“I know.” Claude was livid and planned to hang up the phone when something occurred to him. He then said in a serious tone, “By the way, there is something I need you to do.”
