Alexandria's POV

My eyes flutter open, and I am almost blinded by the light. I blinked my eyes repeatedly to adjust my sight.

“Where am I?” the first word that comes out of my mouth.

This place is so strange, but I felt so light. I gathered all my strength and got up. My head buzzed, and I groaned. I frowned when I realized I was in an unknown place. Honestly, all I saw was white. But I feel like déjà vu. Do you know the feeling that even though the place was unknown, it still looks familiar? Like I’ve been here before? I don’t know.

Am I in heaven?

“Xandra? Val? Willow? Damona? Demonise?” I called all my spirits.

‘We’re here, Alex.’ All of their voices echoed inside my head.

I was stunned and my eyes widened in shock. Does this mean I was back in my body? My heart rate increases in anticipation. I wasn’t dreaming, right?

‘No. We’re back in our world.’ Willow said enthusiastically.

‘How did it happen?’ I asked.

‘We don’t know-how. But the important thing is you are back inside your body and take full control. As for Demonise, here she is arguing with Damona.’ Xandra said while chuckling.

I smiled. ‘And what did the two argue about?’

‘Well, Damona was giving lectures on Demonise about how she handled things when she took control over your body. But of course, Demonise contradict because she thinks she did the right thing in taking revenge for you.’

‘Though, I am happy when Demonise beat the hell out of Liza the bitch.’

‘It still not right to take revenge. That won’t do us any good. For sure, Liza is now holding grudges against me.’ I said while frowning.

‘Well, she deserves some beating after everything she has done to you.’ Demonise butted in. I know she was rolling her eyes.

‘So, Demonise, do you accept to be one of my spirits now?’

‘Yep. If I didn’t accept it, I wouldn’t be here.’

‘So, that’s what happened?’ I asked.

‘Yes, I apologize for giving you all a hard time.’

‘It’s fine. I understand where all your hatred came from. We should be the one to apologize.’ I said, feeling guilty.

I was about to walk around when I heard a weak groan. Someone was also here. I looked around and was stunned to see a lying silhouette at a distance. I wasn’t alone here!

Quickly, I ran towards the silhouette of a man. That man got up and looked around until our gaze met each other. My eyes widened and shock was written all over our faces. Instantly, I stopped running and just stood there baffled.

“Azrael?” I murmured incredulously.

“Alexandria?” he murmured back, flabbergasted.

My eyes widened more in embarrassment when I noticed that he is naked. He quickly covered his private part using his big hands. But it’s too late because I already saw it. My face flushed red. It’s been so long since I didn’t see him, but then I remembered all that happened when I met him. What happened right now started when he rejected me. Would we both be here if he didn’t reject me before?

He was one meter away from me and stared at me longingly. I don’t know how to approach him. Even though I understand why he betrayed me and I already forgave him, I still couldn’t bring myself to trust him again.

All of my spirits were screaming inside my head. They wanted to touch our mate. I coughed and just stared at his handsome face. Azrael came closer and closer until our faces were only inches away. He tucked a strand of hair at the back of my ears and stared at me lovingly. Tears rolled down his face.

“I wasn’t dreaming? You’re here in front of me?” he mumbled in a daze. My mouth agape and slowly nodded my head.

I closed my eyes when he pressed his forehead into mine. The girls are screaming inside my head. I could feel Azrael’s breath fanning in my face and I opened my eyes. My gaze met his brown orbs with golden flecks.

“Alexandria, I am deeply sorry for betraying you. I wasn’t in the right state of my mind. I just caught up in a spur-of-the-moment decision. My stupidity has caused you too much pain and I’m willing to accept all your punishment towards me until you will forgive me and accept me again as your mate.”

His eyes were full of emotions and I could hear his loud heartbeat, which is in synchronization with mine. It’s surprising how our hearts could beat as one. He looked at me like I am the only girl in the world. I didn’t say anything because all the girls in my head won’t stay put. I was controlling myself because Xandra and the others wanted to kiss our mate. But I’m shy to do that. H*ck, I am not as bold as them.

I was about to say something when the light shining so brightly almost made us blind. Azrael and I were both stunned when a beautiful Goddess was walking towards where we stood. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her because it is too good to be true. Who is this woman? Although, I couldn’t see her face clearly because of the blinding light. I could feel the enormous power that radiates off her.

When my sight adjusted to the light, I was completely puzzled to see the face of the woman. Though we have different eye colors, we still have the same features!

It was like I was looking in the mirror, but I am the young version of this woman in front of me.

"Who are you?" I uttered unbelievably while staring at her face. The woman smiled sweetly at me.

"I am the Moon Goddess, Selene," she replied with a smile.

Azrael and I let out a loud gasp of surprise. Moon Goddess? Holy crap!

"M-Moon Goddess?" Azrael mumbled in awe and bowed his head as a sign of respect, but I couldn't bring myself to acknowledge the woman in front of me.

Why are we meeting the Moon Goddess? What is the meaning of this?

My gaze traveled from her head to toe and then to her face. The feeling is so surreal. It's like I've known her my whole life. Suddenly, I felt the urge to embrace the moon goddess, but I stopped myself.

She pointed her hand at Azrael and a light envelope at my mate and in an instant, Azrael already wore clothes. He had a plain white long dress for a man. I sighed in relief because I wouldn't be embarrassed to look at Azrael anymore.

The moon goddess looked at me and her gaze fixated on mine while smiling sweetly, then spoke, "I have waited for all of you for so long, my dear daughters."

Her voice rang inside my head repeatedly and I was baffled.

"Pardon?"

She smiled and walked closer towards me. "This time has come and was destined. My daughters, let me show you who you really are and why you are here." Even though I am so confused, I chose to hear what the Moon Goddess would say and why she was calling me her daughter. Did she know about my spirits? Of course, she knew because she is the moon goddess, stupid! But she calls us her daughters!

‘I am dying to know what she means by that!’ Val uttered and the others agreed in unison.

I’m still fascinated by the Moon Goddess. Her beauty radiates off of her and she’s so intimidating. She’s glowing too, like my wolf Xandra.

I nodded at her and she smiled again. She reached out for my hand and held it lovingly.

We will be reborn as the dead woman’s baby?

I was about to speak when Damona spoke on our behalf. “Isn’t she already dead?” Damona asked, baffled.

“Yes, but we will resurrect her for you to be reborn,” Minerva said.

“How can we all live in one body?” Damona said while frowning.

The councils grinned and then Mercury spoke, “All of you will become a spirit and can share with one body of that unborn child.”

We all went quiet until Val broke the silence. “If we are done with our mission, does it mean we can go back here?”

The council nodded their heads, “Of course. But it’s up to you to decide what path you will all choose after your mission. Either you will go back here or you’ll all stay in one body.” Venus said.

“If we decide to go back, what will happen to the body?” Demonise asked.

“It will die,” Diana uttered.

We all fell silent, and I was thinking deeply about all the possibilities if we can’t finish our mission. This mission is hard and I don’t know if we will succeed. What if we fail? Are we going to live down below forever?

“But we have problems,” my mother said, and we all looked at her, waiting for her to continue.

“Once you are all reborn, the hybrid woman wouldn’t become a beast but the child.” my mother mumbled while looking at us worriedly.

“What? That means we will become a beast?!” my sisters, and I said in unison.

My mother continued, “Yes, but only one of you will suffer more. Only one of you will become a beast. You can choose who will inherit the power and blood of the beast. But there’s a possibility that all of you will acquire the blood of the beast because you will also have the blood of the two powerful hybrids.”

My sisters and I looked at each other while frowning. Who is willing to become a beast? I don’t want to be a beast, though.

“One more thing, your real power will awaken once a powerful being makes contact with you.” mother uttered while sighing.

I know it’s against her will to punish us, but it was a decision made by the council, not just her.

That night, we only hugged our mother once before they sent us below with no memories of the past.

My eyes returned to normal and my face was already stained with tears. My vision gets blurry because of the tears. When my gaze fixated on the woman in front of me, I burst into tears.

“Mother!” I uttered as well as my sisters. We were all crying and I couldn’t help but hug my mother tightly. Now that I remembered my past, I don’t know how to act anymore.

But why did mother bring back our memories? Did the councils know about this?

I frowned. Mother didn’t break the rules too, right?
