“What happened, Jensen? How did Gilbert get hurt?” Sharon asked, but Jensen kept quiet.

Sharon got angry and impatient, “Well? Say something. How did he get hurt?”

“I–I accidentally stabbed him.”

“There’s no way it was you,” Madalyn looked at him with her clouded eyes and said. “You would never do anything to hurt Gilbert, let alone take his life.”

Madalyn’s trust in Jensen formed a lump in his throat. He felt a little sad and self–deprecating. Then, he snickered, turned his gaze out the window, and remained silent.

“It must be that woman. Kisa’s the one who stabbed Gilbert, right?” Sharon rolled her eyes and said angrily. Jensen did not reply, which then made Sharon even more sure of her suspicion. “That woman is vicious. She messed with GK Pictures, and now she’s trying to take Gilbert’s life? I’ll call her now and ask her why she did that. I’ll call the police and have her arrested. This is murder we’re talking about!” Sharon said as she took out her phone to call Kisa.

However, just when she was about to dial her number, Jensen snatched her phone away in an instant.

“Grandma, this is the second time Kisa has stabbed Gilbert. She almost killed him the last time to save herself. You must not spare her this time. Otherwise, Gilbert would be dead…”

“Enough!” Madalyn shouted. “You don’t have to remind me. I will take care of this matter.”
