Chapter 1392 Could She Be Pretending?
Kelvin was shocked when he heard that there was a basement.
“Yes, Dr. Hoover. The basement is the most special thing about this so-called ‘restricted area”,” said the bodyguard.
All of a sudden, Kelvin became curious. He looked around the restricted area and asked, “Where’s the entrance? Where’s the entrance to the basement?”
“Follow me, Dr. Hoover, the bodyguard replied as he started to lead Kelvin into the garden.
Kelvin stared at him for a few seconds and followed him suspiciously. Ms. Mullen is still counting on me to heal her leg, so they probably won’t do anything to me, right?’ Kelvin became a little more courageous when he thought of that.
Not long after, the two arrived at a white door that was 3 feet tall. The door was ajar, but the bodyguard did not go in. Instead, he turned to Kelvin and said, “Dr. Hoover, the basement is right through here.”
Although a tiny beam of light shone through the gaps, Kelvin was scared to enter.
‘Who knows what’s down there?” he thought to himself.
The more he looked at it, the scarier it got, especially since they were still surrounded by darkness.
“Aren’t you going to show me the way? I’m an outsider, I don’t know how to get there. What if I run into Mr. Mullen Sr.?”
“Sorry, Dr. Hoover. I’m just a bodyguard. I’m not qualified to go into the basement.”
Unfortunately, as if Kisa and Gilbert had planned it together, he, too, did not answer Kelvin’s call. In the end, Kelvin had no choice but to text him.
[Idk what’s going on with your woman, but something big is going to happen in the Mullen residence tonight if you don’t hear from us after this, remember to take care of Gracie for me]
He even added a crying emoji at the end of the message.
Once he sent the text, the bodyguard started to urge him, “Quick, Dr Hoover Go down there They’re waiting for you.
“Okay, okay. Sheesh, Kelvin snarled and pushed the door open. He stood away from the entrance as if a terrifying beast would burst out the door at any moment.
However, to his surprise, behind the door was a bright light. The light was as dazzling as the sun, illuminating their surroundings. It was beautiful.
