Reborn Through Fire novel Chapter 1229

Chapter 1229 You're the Bossiest Person Ever

Gilbert suddenly looked anxious as he shifted his gaze to Kisa's stomach.

"What's wrong? Did you injure yourself?"

Kisa shook her head. "Nope. I fell down and my stomach hurts a little, that's all."

Gilbert and Davian both stared at her nervously.

Kisa felt very uneasy. Then, she added, "It's nothing serious. It felt all tingly earlier, but I feel a lot better now."

Gilbert furrowed his brows and carried her up directly without saying anything.

Kisa was shocked as she quickly wrapped her arms around his neck. "What are you doing?"

"I'll bring you to the hospital for a checkup now." Gilbert sounded worried.

Felicity's jaw dropped. "Mr. Kooper, you're overreacting. It's nothing serious at all. I believe all of us have taken a fall before. Besides, she fell on the grass. How much could it hurt?"

"She's right! Put me down now!" Kisa struggled to get down.

Indeed, Gilbert got too nervous about it.

Also, Kisa thought that his reaction appeared to be a little fake after seeing how he looked when he went after that person who looked like Sara.

Kisa tried to get away from him. "Put me down!"

There was just no way that she would go to the hospital. She still had to find an opportunity to live in the Mullen residence. Her entire trip to Athadale would be for nothing if she got admitted to the hospital.

Gilbert was afraid that he would hurt Kisa after seeing how hard she tried to break free, so he quickly put her down.

He stared at her belly deeply as he said in a tensed and worried tone, "Let me know right away if you're not feeling well and well go to the hospital."

"I told you it's nothing serious. There's no need to go to the hospital."

"You said your stomach hurt!" Gilbert said as his gaze had never left her stomach.

After that, he looked at Kisa coldly, "You'd better listen to me!"

Felicity lifted the edge of her mouth. "You're the bossiest person I've ever met."

Kisa stopped arguing with Gilbert as she was not planning to drink anyway. She had something more important to do, after all.

Lea, who was standing at the side, looked at Kisa enviously. Then, she smiled listlessly as she silently walked to an empty corner.

'It seems like all of them love Kisa very much. That's great. Kisa can finally be happy after all the things she's gone through.'

But after Lea took a few steps, Kisa quickly went after her.

"Lea, where are you going?" Kisa asked.

"I... I want to be alone for a while," Lea replied softly.

Her face was beaten up badly, and she looked dejected.
