"I'm dropping out, dropping out, dropping out. I've said it three times. Did you hear me?" Hayden's lips curled into a mocking smile as he laughed and repeated himself.
If they didn't understand, he would repeat it until they did. His resolve was unwavering—nothing and no one could sway his decision.
"Are you insane? How could this possibly benefit you?" Julia screamed in disbelief.
"Exactly! Have you ever thought about the consequences?" Anna echoed in confusion.
"Hmph, I knew he was selfish—if he can't have it, he won't let anyone else have it either!" Lily's eyes were filled with venom as she glared at Hayden.
"Hayden, there must be some sort of misunderstanding. Don't blame him!" Morgan pretended to plead on Hayden's behalf, but his eyes were filled with a deep-seated hatred, as if he wished he could eliminate him right then and there.
Everything was supposed to be his! When had he ever been denied anything he wanted? Yet Hayden stood in his way, refusing his request.
That spot was meant for him, and Hayden was throwing it away!
"Hayden, are you sure about this?" James asked calmly while he looked at Hayden.
He wasn't attempting to persuade Hayden.
Serena and Jenny also remained silent, waiting for Hayden's decision.
"I'm sure. If I have to drop out, so be it!" Hayden declared confidently.
"I'll still make something of myself, even without a school. But to deceive others and steal someone's identity—that's disgusting." Hayden sneered dismissively, making his attitude clear.
At the same time, he'd also pissed Morgan off.
A perfect score in the English language exam was an entirely different achievement from a perfect math score, and only those familiar with the system truly understood its significance.
A perfect score in English was incredibly rare, especially for the essay section, where different graders with different perspectives made consistency nearly impossible. Full marks were virtually unheard of.
But at that point, Riverside High had a student who scored a perfect 100 percent in the English Language!
This was a monumental development and immediately created a stir, which made everyone momentarily forget about Hayden's situation.
"Who is it? Tell me who it is!" Travis demanded eagerly.
"It's Hayden again. He scored perfect marks in both subjects!" the teacher exclaimed, his voice ringing through the room.
"Top universities are already aware of his talent, and they're on their way here. In fact, we just received a call from Brighton University—they're coming too!" The teacher's excited words echoed throughout the hall, shocking everyone present.
