"What!" Hayden and his family stared wide-eyed at the group before them, shocked.
Why were Morgan and his family here? And why had he become a transfer student?
"From now on, Morgan is in your hands!" Travis announced. "He's a top student from Gardens High, transferring here specifically, so take good care of him!"
"Absolutely!" Sylvia nodded enthusiastically, her face beaming with excitement.
However, the teachers' expressions quickly shifted as they noticed the parents standing beside Morgan.
They were puzzled—weren't these the same people from earlier? And their son was named Morgan?
Suddenly, Travis asked, "How's the admission decision going for Hayden?"
"He refused the guaranteed spot and wants to sit for the SAT instead, so we're still trying to convince him," Sylvia explained.
"Oh?" Travis and Vincent widened their eyes in surprise upon hearing Hayden's refusal. At that, Francis and his entourage's expressions also changed, growing even more intense.
They had just formulated a plan.
By transferring Morgan to Riverside High and registering him there, they could maneuver the guaranteed spot if Hayden declined it.
This way, they would have the chance to replace Hayden with Morgan as the automatic admit.
"Well, if the student isn't interested, then let's not waste the spot. Give it to Morgan instead!" Travis declared decisively.
"Hayden, since you've refused the guaranteed admission, we respect your choice. You're dismissed now—there's nothing more for you here," he said dismissively as he waved his hand.
It was clear that he no longer cared about Hayden. After all, Travis wouldn't be able to receive anything much if Hayden had secured the guaranteed spot. However, transferring the guaranteed spot to Morgan would bring in a few million dollars.
"This isn't right! That spot was meant for Hayden! Let us talk to him again—he'll change his mind!" James argued in frustration.
"Exactly! Why are you in such a rush? How can you just transfer the spot to someone else? This is daylight robbery!" Serena added as her voice rose in anger. They couldn't stand seeing their son treated this way.
"Thieves! You're all just a bunch of crooks!" Jenny shouted furiously, pointing at the principals.
"Nonsense! Your son gave up on the spot. When did we steal it?" Travis retorted, maintaining his calm demeanor.
