"What?"
Charlotte and the others stared in disbelief, their eyes wide with shock. Their breathing grew quicker, and the tension in the air was palpable.
They couldn't even get through the door?
"I'm your boss' sister. Let him know we have something very important to discuss with him!" Julia's face was serious as she spoke, her gaze fixed intently on the receptionist.
The receptionist's expression shifted again, this time revealing an awkward smile. She sighed faintly, her tone tinged with discomfort as she said, "Well… my boss also said he doesn't have a sister."
"What?" Anna clenched her teeth, even more stunned than before.
For Hayden to have said it so definitively… They had been completely dismissed.
Did he really say he didn't have a sister? Was Hayden really so heartless?
Their faces fell, and they slowly lowered their heads.
"Tell him that his biological mother is here! I need to see him. It's important, and he needs to think about it carefully!" Charlotte said, her voice stern.
The receptionist frowned, her emotions now slightly uneasy. This was something Hayden had mentioned before.
"Mr. Hayden said that if someone claims to be his mother and gives him a call, he'll come down," the receptionist explained.
At the time, Hayden had only brought it up to avoid confusion. So, if Serena ever showed up, he wouldn't be caught off guard.
"A phone call?" Charlotte looked surprised, her shock evident.
She glanced at her phone, her lips trembling. Anxiety was quickly spreading within her.
Because she didn't have his phone number.
"Do you all have his number?" Charlotte asked, turning to Julia and Anna.
"He blocked me, so I deleted his number."
"Same here. But if we tried to find it now, it might take some time."
Her lips quivered as she shouted, "Go up and tell him… Tell him that Francis is dead!"
"What?" Julia and Anna were stunned, and their faces were filled with panic.
They never imagined that Charlotte, in her desperation to meet Hayden, would go as far as saying something like that.
"Quick, go tell him that. Tell him to come to the reception room and meet me!"
Charlotte lowered her head, guilt creeping into her heart as she tugged at Julia and Anna, urging them to move.
She knew her words were extreme and wrong. But to meet Hayden, there was no other choice.
Soon, they arrived at the room and waited.
They were no strangers to the lounge room's location. Their familiarity with it was now almost second nature to them.
