Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 434

The restaurant owner noticed the shift in the streamer's tone and immediately confronted her. "What do you want, then?"

"Let's keep it simple. I'd like three thousand dollars! That's compensation for my mental distress, and it's a fair settlement! Otherwise, I'll take the evidence, go straight to the authorities, and have them hit you with the maximum fine!"

The female streamer's words were sharp, and her tone was unyielding. She was clearly well-practiced in this sort of thing.

In the livestream chat, more and more viewers were chiming in. Everyone was fired up, anger bubbling in their words.

"Short-weighted? This place is a scam!"

"I'm never coming here again. They'll be going out of business. Just watch!"

"I can't believe I didn't think to weigh the food before. It looks like this kind of thing happens all the time."

"I swear, I'm going to spray-paint their door and let everyone know they're ripping people off!"

The entire chat turned into a frenzy, with people practically rooting for the restaurant to go under.

"Take the money and go. You're not welcome here anymore!" the restaurant owner said, frowning.

He quickly handed over three thousand dollars, trying to settle things before they got worse. He knew he was in the wrong. After all, he had under-served the customers.

"Pfft! You guys are like rats in the gutter," the female streamer said as she smiled faintly, then turned to leave.

She gave the camera a bright, almost victorious smile as if she'd won some kind of battle.

"Guys, the world needs more people like me to stand up for justice! Let's go to the next stop. It's time to teach them a lesson!"

With a skip in her step, the streamer and her team exited, full of energy and glee.

"The supplier just called. They're threatening to sue us!"

"We're in big trouble! What are we going to do now?"

All the staff in the livestream studio began panicking, and they shouted in confusion and stress.

But the female streamer remained calm, her tone resolute as she added, "What's the big deal? If we lose money, I'll just cover it. Don't worry about the consequences. Just get those products listed! I'm doing this for my viewers. I want my people to get these perks!"

She ended with a defiant gesture, covering her ears and ignoring all the pleas to stop. No matter how much they tried to reason with her, she didn't care.

"Ugh, it's another one of these scams," Hayden muttered in frustration.

This type of trick was one of the oldest in the book.
