Hayden could immediately guess Jenny's intentions. But he just chuckled softly and didn't respond.
"Oh wow, this bowl is so shiny! And this pot is so dark. Hayden, you're really good at doing the housework. Does that woman know? Whoever marries you in the future will be so lucky!" Jenny praised him enthusiastically, her eyes seemingly sparkling as she stared intently at Hayden.
"Stop it. Let me finish cleaning. Tomorrow, get up early and then you can come with me to the studio for our shooting. I'll take you along to have some fun!" Hayden finally relented and agreed.
"Yay! Thank you, Hayden! You're the best!" Jenny grinned, spinning around and running back to the living room.
A cheer soon followed. She was truly overjoyed.
Hayden smiled wryly. Jenny was really quite playful. He wondered if the tutoring she got during the summer break would stick—how much would she even remember when school started?
…
Hayden brought Jenny to work with him the next day.
She was thrilled. It was her first time visiting his workplace. So, her curiosity seemed endless as she marveled at everything.
But as they arrived at the entrance of a residential area, Jenny froze.
"What are we doing here?" She asked, her wide, innocent eyes staring at Hayden. Was this where he worked?
"Just wait a moment." Hayden wasn't sure how to explain, so he replied casually.
"Wait? For what?" Jenny still didn't understand, her curiosity only growing.
Just then, they heard a melodious voice. "Oh? You've brought your sister with you today?"
"Hmph! You're just someone Hayden works with. Don't get too smug! Someone who truly deserves my brother must be a famous and incredibly beautiful celebrity!" Jenny declared with confidence, her tone almost defiant.
"Huh?" Christina was taken aback, her face flushing slightly.
Was that a hint? Could Jenny have found out about their relationship? No, no… Nothing had even happened between her and Hayden yet!
"Hey, watch your manners. Don't speak so rudely! Otherwise, I'll send you home to study instead of taking you out," Hayden scolded Jenny sternly.
"I…" Jenny had no choice but to stay quiet at Hayden's warning.
However, her wide eyes still stared unflinchingly at Christina.
