Anna gently bit her lower lip and apologized, "We didn't pay attention. We thought you were at home, just like before. We're really sorry."
The three of them were very sincere.
Hayden just sneered and didn't give them a reply.
"Lily, don't be mad. Maybe Hayden ate something before he came, so he's not hungry," Morgan hurriedly comforted her.
Then, he turned to look at Hayden and asked gently, "How about I pick some of the good stuff and set it aside?"
"There's no need for that," Hayden said, waving his hand dismissively. He pulled out a stool and sat on it, frowning as he stared at everyone.
Then, he said indifferently, "Since none of you are interested in treating me to a meal, I don't want to eat either. Let's cut to the chase. If you have something to say, just say it. After that, don't bother me again."
Hayden was cold toward them and didn't continue to pursue the matter of the food. He knew that it was pointless to reason with them.
His response took everyone by surprise. They didn't expect him to be so blunt.
"Fine. Since you want to talk, let's talk," Francis said coldly.
Hearing this, the others became nervous as they stared at Francis.
"You're about to attend college, so you should leave your company to Sterling Group. That way, you can focus on your studies, and we can help you manage the company.
In her eyes, it was just a small company. There was no need to have a fall out with the Sterling family.
"That's right. It's not a big company, and the Sterling family will definitely give you compensation," Anna also spoke up and tried to get a better deal for Hayden.
They could tell that arguing with Francis for the sake of the company wasn't very appropriate. They had more important matters to deal with, so they needed to calm Francis.
"It might be a small company in your eyes, but for me, it's a legitimate business. Besides, what I do right now has nothing to do with any of you. Why do you keep bothering me? Since the mighty Sterling family is so powerful, is it really necessary to keep causing trouble for me?" Hayden looked at them sharply and coldly.
"You really don't know your place. Don't you know who treats you well? We're only helping to manage the company because you're family. Don't push your luck!" Lily said angrily.
"What a joke! Are you sure it's for my sake? You guys are just after the company's influence, aren't you?" Hayden asked coldly.
