"That's really generous of your father, but tell him I'm not interested in having a meal with the Sterling family," Hayden rejected the invitation outright.

He grabbed Christina's hand and tried to head inside.

At that moment, Christina couldn't help but exclaim in surprise, staring at Hayden in a daze. Finally, she seemed to have understood the relationship between Hayden and the Sterlings.

Was it because of the bond Hayden shared with the Sterlings that they kept seeking him out repeatedly?

She didn't say anything and just waited there silently.

"Hayden, don't be like this. Can't you just hear me out?" Morgan quickly stepped forward and blocked Hayden's path.

However, his sharp gaze was scrutinizing Christina blatantly, as if trying to imagine her in a medieval gown.

"Out with it," Hayden stated coldly as he pulled Christina behind him.

He knew Morgan all too well and knew just how disgusting his thoughts were. He would never allow Christina to be left in Morgan's line of sight.

"Dad said that since you're going to college, no one will be managing the company, and that'll cause some problems. He wants you to hand over the company to the Sterling family to manage.

"He's inviting you over for a meal so that he can discuss this matter with you over dinner. By the way, would you like to bring this young lady along tonight?" Morgan asked as he gestured toward Christina.

It seemed that his anticipation was growing. He really wanted to spend some time alone with Christina.

Since the courier would be arriving soon, he could let Christina put on some medieval attire and show off her charm.

"Hayden, don't say that. We really mean well!" Morgan frowned slightly, a little displeased. However, he still softened his tone.

"'Mean well,' my ass! Go fuck off to wherever you came from!" Hayden lost it and started cursing outright, his eyes turning red with anger. He was almost ready to get violent.

His response gave Morgan quite a scare. Just what was wrong with this guy? Had he lost it?

"And if you guys come here again, I guarantee that in an hour, the Sterling family will get the message. I'll make sure that all the relevant departments investigate all the projects under your company thoroughly! Do you really think I don't know the shady dealings going on behind the scenes in the Sterling family?"

Hayden's gaze was cold as he scolded the two angrily.

Once again, he had brought up the shady activities within the Sterling family as a threat. However, this time, neither Morgan nor Lily seemed the least bit affected by it, merely smiling casually at him in return.
