The influencers, acting like mindless sheeps, blindly followed Lily's instructions and confronted the Public Affairs Department.
The outcome left them feeling insignificant and humiliated. They were put in an awkward position. By the end, they were left with no choice but to appease Lily, begging her to take charge of the situation.
"Alright, I'll help you all. Now, go back and find Christina. I'll join you shortly and handle the conversation myself," Lily replied coldly.
"Understood!" They agreed eagerly before rushing back to the company.
Not long after, the influencers arrived, and Lily showed up shortly after.
"It's Lily!"
The influencers greeted her with polite nods, their demeanor showing nothing but respect.
Lily basked in the admiration, her lips curving into a faintly smug smile. "Don't worry, everyone. Just follow my lead this time. We'll make sure Christina gives us a proper explanation!"
She brimmed with confidence, and she led the group toward the company.
Soon, they entered the company's office and found it was already filled with other influencers. They were local content creators from Stonybrook, whose follower counts were considerably lower. Just a few hundred thousand, at best.
The moment both groups met, tension filled the room. It felt like a standoff was about to erupt.
"Oh, so it's our fault now? When did you even tell us about the time? Since our last meeting yesterday, we haven't received a single message.
"Don't act like you didn't plan this. It's obvious you want to cut us out. I see it now. You're collaborating with these people because they're your friends. It must be easy for you to take advantage of them this way, isn't it?"
Lily pointed at Christina and the other influencers, her voice sharp with accusation.
Suddenly, the room fell silent. Everyone present looked shocked, murmurs rippling through the crowd.
"That's slander!" Christina exploded.
