Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 252

"Save your pity, and stop poking your nose in my business! The gem is mine. I can do whatever I want with it. It's none of your business even if I decide to give it to a beggar on the street!"

Hayden's tone was icy and left no room for negotiation while his gaze was as sharp as ever.

His demeanor made Charlotte and the others feel uneasy. It was as if they were trapped in an icy abyss that sent chills through their very bones.

"Yesterday, Dad discussed hosting a birthday banquet. He hopes that you'll offer him that gem as a gift for the occasion. Lily will probably be here in a bit. Don't say I didn't warn you. You'd better tread carefully!" Julia said slowly with a stiff expression.

"She's coming?" Hayden's eyes lit up, and he let out a laugh. "Is she coming here to get a scolding?"

"Why are you so arrogant? Will it kill you to lower yourself for once? Or do you think that you're smarter than everyone else?" Julia lamented helplessly.

"That's enough. We've already informed him of the situation, so let's go. We shouldn't keep bothering him," Anna urged.

With that, the trio left.

As they were leaving, they saw the spilled food on the floor and felt rather awkward. That was proof that they had never cared about Hayden in the past.

Hayden stood quietly by the door, silently watching them as they left. A sly glint flashed in his eyes.

Lily was going to visit him, right? That would be perfect.

He quickly took out his phone and called Christina.

After receiving the call, Christina hurried over. Hayden was her boss, after all. She wouldn't dare delay his requests.

"Why did you call me here so suddenly? Is it time to start work? What are we filming?" Christina asked hurriedly.

"I need you for something else," Hayden replied indifferently.

"Huh?" Christina gave Hayden a puzzled look.

Then, Hayden shared his plan with her.

"What?"

One hour later, the doorbell rang.

Hayden opened the door, and as expected, he saw Lily standing right there.

She was finally here.

Hayden smirked as he stared at the woman before him.

"I'm here to inform you that Dad's birthday is coming up, and there'll be a place for you at the banquet. However, you need to bring a gift. Do you understand? This might be your only chance to return to the Sterling family!"

Lily spoke with an air of superiority while looking at him with indifference.

However, Hayden remained calm, his gaze cold and unbothered.

"Did you hear me?" Lily asked as she glared at Hayden, the annoyance clearly showing in her eyes.
