Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 230

Hayden had long since been wary of Christina because her sudden appearance was just too suspicious!

Moreover, both her behavior and manner of speech felt too purposeful. She was clearly trying to get close to him. It was impossible for him not to doubt her intentions.

However, who in the world would have a grudge against him? The only one Hayden could think of was the Sterling family.

At first, he didn't wish to suspect the Sterlings were behind this, but he had to face the truth. The Sterlings were behind it!

"I… I'm good friends with Lily Sterling. We're both streamers, so we got to know each other. Sometimes, we would get together and talk about life! She also said that her family was influential and that I should just give her a call if I got in trouble."

Christina explained in a hurry when she noticed Hayden's gaze, but she was unable to hide the panic in her face. After all, she had just barely graduated from high school. It was impossible for her to hide her thoughts that well.

It was already at her limit, coming up with that excuse.

"Relax, I'm not trying to imply anything," Hayden assured nonchalantly, but his gaze grew increasingly icy.

Although he was unsure if Christina told him the truth, anyone with ties to the Sterling family would still no doubt disgust him.

Very soon, the Sterling family members stormed into the room.

"Lily! I'm here!" Christina quickly called out, attracting Lily's attention.

Lily was surprised. When she looked up, her eyes met with Christina's. They only exchanged a brief look without showing too much emotion. That caused Christina to appear rather awkward, yet she was unable to voice out her dismay.

Upon seeing that, Hayden couldn't help but sneer. It turned out that Christina's so-called friend might only think of her as a tool!

"Mr. Ziegler, it's been a while!" Francis greeted with a wave, walking over to him.

"Oh? A household staff, you say?"

Benjamin couldn't help but tease, then started looking Hayden up and down, a smirk with a hint of disdain appearing on his face.

How predictable. Even now, they still had the arrogance of a Sterling. In the end, that man had yet to embrace his identity! There probably was some sort of conspiracy going in the back.

"Household staff?"

Hayden chuckled mischievously. To the public, his identity had always been a household staff of the Sterling family! He was quite surprised that even now, they still addressed him the same way. What a joke!

"Mr. Ziegler, please let forgive him. It's just a minor matter, after all. We'll surely be seeing each other a lot more in the future. Why would you want to sour our relationship for the sake of a mere household staff?" Francis continued.

"You're right. He isn't worth the trouble!"
