Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 181

"No. No way!" Morgan shouted loudly. He was emotionally out of control, but his eyes were full of longing.

"Stop talking!" Francis noticed that something was wrong and quickly grabbed Morgan's arm as he signaled to him to keep quiet.

If they offended David in public, things would go downhill fast.

Morgan clenched his teeth and glared furiously at Victor.

"Come clean, Mr. Grant," David said calmly.

These two words landed like a heavy blow and shattered Victor's composure.

When would these two words generally be used? It was only used when someone had made a mistake or when they were being interrogated.

"Actually, there's only one candidate who got perfect scores in two subjects, and his name is Hayden. He's the one who was admitted to Brighton University. Morgan was just a substitute," Victor confessed.

Although he had stated some facts, he still tried to conceal the whole truth.

The crowd gasped at that revelation. One after another, gazes full of shock fell on Morgan.

So, Morgan wasn't the prodigy? Then, he wasn't the genius who got perfect scores in two subjects?

And the real genius was Hayden? Wasn't he Morgan's housekeeper friend?

For a moment, everyone was stunned. They looked at this scene in confusion.

Who exactly was this housekeeper? And how could he be so extraordinary?

"Yes, it's true. My son was a substitute," Francis blurted out, nodding frantically to support Victor's explanation.

Their idea was straightforward. After all, this explanation had no flaws.

After all, the Sterling family had introduced him as their housekeeper. Now, if they claimed that he was a part of the family, they would be shooting themselves in the foot.

They would definitely be slapping themselves in the face. It was utterly ridiculous.

"Why aren't you speaking? Why are you all so silent?" David asked coldly.

As Victor wasn't thinking straight, he instinctively began to reveal the facts he knew. "Because the Sterling family is actually Hayden's…"

But the next moment, Francis interrupted him directly, "Hayden is an orphan. We've known him for years, so we decided to tell Mr. Grant. His character is truly awful. You'll be furious if I tell you about it.

"Mr. Schnapp, these are all trivial matters. You don't have to worry about it." Francis quickly raised his wine glass and moved closer to David.

But David slowly raised his head and gave him a disdainful smile.

"Why should Mr. Grant listen to you? Shouldn't he listen to what Hayden's parents have to say? Who do you think you are?"
