Although Wagner appeared relaxed and arbitrary with his needle placements, it took a great deal of effort on his end, causing his forehead to be covered in sweat.
Just then, Hayden looked at his own body. He saw the shaking silver needles and wondered if they were sterilized in advance.
In the next moment, a shiver ran through his body. He suddenly felt a wave of burning energy surging outward from within. It felt like a little snake was swimming around in his body.
The strange feeling made him lose control and let out a moan.
At the same time, Hayden's body was covered in a layer of sweat, with more forming to replace the sweat that dripped off him. Even his face was dripping with sweat.
In a short time, his entire shirt was dripping wet, as though he had taken a swim. Even the wooden chair that he sat on looked as if it was splashed by a bucket of water.
The sounds of dripping sweat kept going as they landed on the dry marbled floor.
Hayden once again let out a deep breath.
"That was great!"
His body felt absolutely relaxed, as if all the pores on his body were opened up to breathe.
In his mind, there was a growing sense of amazement toward the acupuncture technique of traditional medicine.
"You're lucky to be young and healthy, so it was easy for me to treat you. If you wait a few more years, it'll be very difficult to do this!" Wagner lamented in a soft voice.
After that, he started removing the silver needles from Hayden's body.
Meanwhile, Hayden couldn't feel a thing. If he wasn't watching the process, he wouldn't even know the needles were removed from his body.
"Amazing! Is this sweat the result of expelling the tension from my body?" Hayden asked curiously.
Wagner stared solemnly at Hayden. He had taken a liking to him.
"My mind is set," Hayden said with a bitter smile, his gaze lowered.
…
At the hospital, Lily entered the ward angrily and plopped herself on a chair, her face a picture of anger and frustration.
She gritted her teeth as her eyes burned with wrath. She was like a bomb on the brink of exploding.
The Sterlings were rather stunned when they saw Lily with that expression. All of them had one thought in mind—she was rejected!
"Lily, can you please calm down? Is it because Hayden didn't want to come?" Morgan tried to comfort her, breaking the silence.
