It seems James would have to let Hayden find out on his own for now!
Later, James, Serena, and Hayden started preparing dinner. It was only when Jenny returned that they began eating.
Jenny happily shared with them the things that happened in school. At the same time, she would also occasionally remind Hayden that it was about time for his SAT.
However, Hayden couldn't be bothered.
Suddenly, there was a piece of news on the TV that caught Hayden's attention.
"Kaiser Group will be having a strategic collaboration with Sterling Group on a new project! Here are the details…"
Following that was the contents of their collaboration.
Right then, Hayden stared at the TV wide-eyed, seemingly shocked by the news.
Kaiser Group was one of the companies whose stock he bought earlier, and it was also the only ticket among those that would show long-term growth.
"So, the stock's rise and fall is predetermined. It's all under the control of the people running those financial groups. I see… so it is true that regular folks are just being played for their money in the stock market!" Hayden lamented to himself in surprise.
It was truly an eye-opening revelation!
"I guess you understand how things work now. It's good that you can figure this out. Did you buy Kaiser Group's stock?" James took a shot at him with a smile.
"That's right! It seems I just fell for their scheme!"
Hayden was having mixed emotions. Although he fell for their scheme, he was still rather fortunate.
"When trading in stock, financial and business sense matters the most! If you can find out how much the company behind that stock can grow, you'll know how long their stock can rise!
"Yes, of course. You're absolutely right. I think you have a good point." Hayden assured her with a smile.
"You're the only one who believes that nonsense because you dote on her," James said helplessly while shaking his head.
"No way! I'm telling the truth!" Hayden remarked excitedly with bright eyes.
He thought of his past life, where he saw with his own eyes how the tech companies of the future develop at an unbelievable rate. Even the Sterling family was trying to convert their business into that field.
This placed Hayden in a rather difficult spot because these large-scale IT companies would require tens to hundreds of billions worth of investment.
The meager sum he had was nowhere near enough to even matter.
He would need to quickly save up more capital in order to catch onto this trend!
