"Damn it all!"
Melissa gritted her teeth, pulling Danna away to a less crowded area.
Behind them, a swarm of reporters pursued, making the scene even more chaotic than the stage.
The exhibition concluded.
Penelope returned backstage and casually set aside the "Tear of the Ocean" necklace.
Meanwhile, Megan was changing in another dressing room.
She sat there, gazing at the live photo that Megan had posted in the group.
Megan had written, "Darling, look! We both look stunning."
Time flies like a song, "Heartfelt."
Wishing everyone well, "Wish I didn't have to go abroad, sending hugs."
Carla loves you, "Great job today! Let's hang out tonight."
Megan added, "Today was hilarious; seeing Melissa eat her words made me laugh till I cried."
Time flies like a song commented, "She never gives up."
Just as they discussed the mother-daughter duo, the door burst open. Melissa and Danna stormed in, visibly angry.
The corners of Penelope's lips curled into a contemptuous smile as she looked at the two, resembling defeated roosters. "Haven't you had your fill of criticism? Now you come knocking on my door?"
"You must sell me that necklace today!" When Melissa entered, her eyes fixated on 'Tears of the Ocean,' which Penelope casually toyed with. A surge of jealousy welled up in her eyes.
The only way to salvage her pride now was for Penelope to sell her that necklace. There was simply no alternative.
"If your hearing's off, get it checked at the hospital. Didn't you hear me clearly when I said I wouldn't sell them?" Penelope set her phone down and resumed removing the earrings in front of the mirror.
"I'll pay any price!" Melissa exclaimed.
"No deal," Penelope replied calmly.
During the chaos, Dominic arrived.
Seeing him, Penelope sarcastically remarked to the mother-daughter duo, "Your protector is here. Go ahead, complain."
Dominic strode over, his demeanor commanding attention. This time, he didn't bother questioning the situation. Instead, he impatiently addressed Melissa and Danna, "What trouble have you two caused now?"
"She tried to force me to drink toilet water!" Danna cried.
“Dominic,” she's gone too far. We approached her to purchase a necklace, but she refused to sell it. Moreover, she's been tormenting both your sister and me!"
Dominic found their conversation hard to believe. He gazed at Penelope with a mix of emotions. She remained as stunning as ever, yet somehow even more captivating.
At the jewelry store, the two went their separate ways. Yet, for reasons they couldn't quite understand, they both felt an inexplicable pull towards this woman...
"What occurred earlier? On behalf of my mother, I wish to apologize to you." Dominic referred to when he rudely interrupted Carla's presentation and insisted on purchasing the jewelry.
"There's no need for you to speak on their behalf; they can speak for themselves," Penelope said coolly from the doorway.
