Vincent quickly appeared in the hall.
He first exchanged pleasantries with Mr. Harris before approaching Dominic.
The auras emanating from both men were equally influential. Due to Dominic's current need for assistance, he seemed somewhat disadvantaged.
"Mr. Reed, I've heard a lot about you."
"Mr. Archer, not at all."
As they shook hands, Dominic could distinctly feel the hostility emanating unintentionally from Vincent. This left him perplexed.
Wearing a traditional white suit, Mr. Harris had a kind smile. The wrinkles at the corners of his eyes conveyed a shrewd business acumen.
He spoke warmly, "Vincent, we've come today to discuss matters related to the medical expo. I heard that Archer Corp was recently expelled from the Diamoson Corp.. Is there a misunderstanding?"
"There's no misunderstanding. Diamoson Corp. believes Archer Corp doesn't meet the qualifications," Vincent said coldly.
"Archer Corp can increase its funding for the exhibition. Mr. Reed, could you recommend their participation?" Mr. Harris asked.
Dominic had come up with a resolve-to-resolve matter. If they could participate in the expo, it would benefit Archer Corp significantly.
Vincent remained stoic, placing the coffee back on the table with a resolute air. In a frigid tone, he uttered a firm "No."
Dominic, sensing that his concession had fallen on deaf ears and dialogue was unlikely, felt a surge of anger. "Mr. Reed, even in business, your cruelty knows no bounds. Have you crossed a line?"
The tension escalated, a standoff where neither was willing to yield, signaling an imminent clash.
Attempting to mediate, Mr. Harris intervened once more. "Today, I'll play the intermediary. Grant me this favor, at least. How about we all sit down and engage in a meaningful discussion, the leaders of both companies?"
Upon hearing this, Dominic suppressed his anger. After all, his purpose here was business, and letting anger take the reins wouldn't resolve the issue.
His gaze turned icy as he stated, "President Reed, go ahead and make your request. Let's see if Archer Corporation can meet your demands."
Mr. Harris further suggested, "If Archer Corp can share the core technology of its research team with Diamoson Corp., we might have something to discuss."
Vincent, carefree, made this suggestion without much intention of requiring Archer Corp's core technology. He only wanted to save face for Mr. Harris and let Dominic back down.
Unable to restrain his anger, he left before Mr. Harris, still sitting calmly, got up.
Seeing Dominic's departure, Mr. Harris no longer rushed. He continued to drink his tea.
He knew that Vincent, at a young age, had taken over the vast business empire from his parents. The grievances in his heart were naturally not fewer than those of his elder, former colleagues. Being so unyielding indicated that Vincent had his reasons.
"Vincent, you young people have your ideas."
"Diamoson Corp. is about to enter the market, and the headquarters will be in Seattle. The two companies will inevitably cross paths. It's not good to make things too ugly with a casual move. Please consider it."
Vincent nodded slightly. "Mr. Harris is right; I will consider it."
There was still no response, so Mr. Harris didn't press further. After all, he had already done his duty as a father to help his son.
"By the way, who will you send to handle affairs in Seattle this time?"
"Seattle’s business is extensive. I plan to send Penelope," Vincent replied.
