"Who are you to me? Why should I tell you?" Penelope leisurely stood up, lifting the corner of her eye with a hint of disdain.
Suddenly, Dominic understood. They were already divorced, and he seemed to have no right to ask Penelope about these things.
In a sudden twist of thought, thinking that Penelope's body and mind once belonged to him, but now she was in another man's arms, he squinted his eyes. His inexplicable possessiveness surged, even though he didn't know why.
"What is the real reason for the divorce?" Dominic's voice was gloomy and heavy.
Penelope's red lips curled into a scornful smile, full of coldness. "It's been so long, and you still find these questions interesting?"
She met Dominic's dark eyes without blinking. "There's only one real reason— I've had enough!"
"What are you dissatisfied with?"
"Over these three years, you lacked nothing in the Archer family. You held an important position by my side. What's different from your life now?"
Dominic paused slightly when he mentioned the night before the divorce, recalling Penelope's request for intimacy.
"Is it because I didn't touch you?"
He refrained from touching Penelope because there was a thorn in his heart. This woman once called another man's name in her sleep. Proud as he was, he had been living a sexless life with Penelope.
Penelope, upon hearing this, couldn't help but laugh lightly. "What kind of logic is that?"
"Well, I'll fulfill your request now!" Dominic took a few quick steps, reaching Penelope and reaching out to cup her face, attempting to kiss her.
"Smack!"
Penelope forcefully pushed him away, followed by a resounding slap.
The cheek stung fiercely. Dominic bit his tongue, his eyes flooded with a wave of violent anger, increasingly unable to fathom the woman before him.
Penelope's eyes were slightly moist, her chest heaving with anger.
This fool thought she left because of this!
What did she see in Dominic?
Tall and elegant, dressed in a finely tailored suit, his charming peach blossom eyes radiated warmth as he smiled, revealing bright white teeth.
Seeing that Penelope didn't take the handkerchief, Andrew picked it up and wiped away her tears. "With such beautiful eyes, they won't look good if swollen. How about I cry for you instead?"
He stepped onto the balcony, coincidentally encountering the fascinating beauty from the auction.
Under the starry sky, the fascinating beauty in a flowing red dress, her face adorned with crystal-clear teardrops, exuded a fragile and lonely charm in the silence, radiating a delicate beauty.
He was utterly captivated by the scene, taking steps unconsciously.
Upon hearing his playful words, Penelope burst into laughter, taking the handkerchief from the man and continuing to wipe her tears.
"Hello, I'm Andrew, the president of the Harris Corporation. May I have the pleasure of getting to know you?" The man introduced himself. "Thanks for helping me raise the price of the jade bracelet just now. I'll send you a token of gratitude another day."
The smile on Penelope's face disappeared abruptly.
'Enemy' Andrew!
