Rebirth: We Split Ways.. novel Chapter 25

Today, Penelope looked stunning.

Her satin-like black hair flowed behind her, and her makeup was radiant. She wore a never-seen-before high-end custom-made outfit, accentuating her graceful figure and exceptional radiance.

Her beauty was so captivating that people couldn't bear to look away, like a poppy blooming with deadly allure.

She gracefully moved towards Dominic...

Dominic's gaze towards Penelope became more profound, more complex, carrying an indescribable emotion.

From gentle and demure to dazzling and arrogant...

This woman had truly changed.

She was no longer the person from his memories.

"Mr. Archer, it seems you won't stop until you achieve your goal," Penelope said, approaching Dominic, smirking with mockery in her eyes and a curl of her red lips.

"Where's your boss?" Dominic asked coldly.

Penelope sneered, "Didn't you see? It's just me. Disappointed?"

She sent absurd messages to herself, and when that failed, she shifted the focus to her elder brother.

If he wanted to see him, he needed to ask her permission!

Guessed with her intention and mocked by this woman, Dominic's face quickly darkened.

The auction organizers quickly approached, "Miss Reed, please come this way."

Penelope ignored them and entered gracefully.

Seeing Penelope's grand entrance, Danna whispered to Dominic, "Look, I told you she hitched a rich man. How could she afford all this suddenly?"

Dominic felt more irritated, his tone impatient, "Shut up."

Seeing that Dominic seemed annoyed, Danna followed silently behind him, not saying another word.

Kyla gently said to Dominic, "Let's go inside."

Thirty minutes later, the auction began.

The intelligent and elegant female auctioneer introduced the items.

"A jadeite bracelet, starting at two hundred thousand!"

Under the lights, the bracelet exuded a delicate and transparent charm.

Thinking of Grandma Archer's upcoming birthday, Penelope raised her paddle, "Three hundred thousand."

"Three hundred thousand, once."

Seeing Penelope bidding, Kyla raised her paddle in the back, "Five hundred thousand."

"Dominic, I think this bracelet would suit Grandma best. It would be a perfect gift for her birthday."

Dominic nodded at her words.

Penelope raised her paddle again, "Six hundred thousand!"

She couldn't bid too much. The bracelet's value was there, and she was already offering a premium at this point.

On the side, Dominic commented, "Kyla, this bracelet isn't worth that price."

"It's okay. I can afford it. Making Grandma happy is the most important thing." Kyla smiled gently.

Though not a great deal, she could afford it.

"Thirty million!" Penelope, with her red lips slightly parted, remained calm and confident.

The guests were left speechless by the bidding war between the two women. Women sure dared to spend!

Kyla, clutching her paddle tightly, looked shocked with gentle eyes. This woman dared to bid so much. Did she think of herself as a wealthy heiress?

Today, she would compete with this woman, challenging her to see if she dared to outbid her.

Biting her lip, she raised her paddle again, "Thirty-one million!"

"Thirty-one million, once!"

"Thirty-one million, twice!"

Kyla was anxious. Why didn't Penelope follow?

"Thirty-one million, thrice!"

The auctioneer said, "Congratulations to this guest, who won the jadeite bracelet for thirty-one million!"

Kyla turned to Penelope, suddenly realizing she had been played!

She was set aside!
