Even after Dominic did what he did today, it would still be difficult to erase the harm he had done to her.
"Mr. James, if you have nothing to do, read more, gossip less, and stop meddling in other people's business!"
Penelope's words were like a punch in the gut.
Her attitude about the matter was obvious.
Warren smiled and said, "Okay, I'm going to see how he is doing. Goodbye."
After that, he quickly walked away.
After coming out of the hospital, Penelope received a call from Kevin. "We found out that the owner of the Volkswagen is Jane Yates, and she was the one driving that car today."
When she heard the name…
Penelope snorted coldly.
"Her target was me, right?"
"Yes, Miss! But this doesn't look like a deliberate crime, but more like a crime of passion."
Penelope pursed his lips. "Who else is there in her family?"
"After checking, Jane turned out to be an orphan. She grew up in an orphanage. Later, she was admitted to Seattle University for her talents. During her studies, she also relied on donations from caring people in society and became a working student to complete her studies."
With that being said, her story was quite inspiring.
"Where is she now?"
"She is already under our control. What do you want us to do with her?"
Although Kevin was asking Penelope for her opinion, she also knew that if Jane was dealt with according to the Reed family's method, the outcome of her wrongdoing would be death or disability, leaving no traces of it whatsoever.
Therefore, all it would take was one word from Penelope.
She would be able to let the people below her deal with this trouble.
"Collect evidence, submit it to the police, and handle it in accordance with the law."
Kevin was surprised. "Miss, are you going to let her go so easily?"
Penelope was puzzled.
"Isn't this the normal and legal method?"
If Penelope wanted to punish someone, she would use this way.
Also, she did retain a trace of empathy.
"Baby, you scared me to death! Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?"
Megan's words were full of worry.
Penelope hung up the phone and explained, "I'm fine."
"It's fine? Is it fine?! But what's going on? How could a car accident happen and you're fine?"
Penelope sighed.
"What else could it be? Didn't I get the title of chief designer of the Seattle Fashion Show? Those who lose are just unwilling to accept it!"
Megan was furious.
"Let me find her. She had the audacity to endanger your life in broad daylight! She must have had murderous intentions. How could you be fine after what happened?"
Penelope had no choice but to tell the truth about how Dominic rescued her.
Megan finished listening.
Blinking her eyes, she showed an expression that was uglier than crying. "You mean... Dominic saved you?"
