Rebirth: We Split Ways.. novel Chapter 154

"You have to believe me, my son... Hello? Dominic?"

Before Melissa finished her words, a beeping sound came from the receiver.

She was so angry. She did not take a breath and quickly smashed her cell phone.

"Penelope, you vixen!"

Melissa was on the verge of storming out, her face reddened, and the people around her saw this and muttered.

Gazes from all corners turned to her one after another and she wanted to find a hole in the ground to drill into.

"Mrs. Archer..."

Right at this moment, an ominous figure wearing high heels walked in front of her. Sharon looked at her with a smile on her face and took the initiative to greet her.

Facing this unfamiliar face, Melissa had no impression, and the corner of her mouth moved as she asked, "And you are?"

"Mrs. Archer, it's not important who I am, what's important is that I know Penelope."

At the mention of Penelope, Melissa was instantly on guard for a few moments and coldly laughed. "Are you with that vixen Penelope?"

Sharon, however, said, "I think you’re misunderstanding. I just want to invite you to have afternoon tea and talk to you about Penelope. Do you have time?"

Melissa vaguely felt that Sharon was coming from a bad place, but she also wanted to teach Penelope a lesson.

So, she agreed. "Sure! Where are we going?"

Sharon chose a place and led Melissa away.

...

After coming out of the spa, Penelope was in a soothing mood, not to mention how happy she was.

Thinking about how she used to tolerate everything for Dominic, letting herself be suppressed and bullied. Well now, she could be herself.

Back at the company, Penelope continued to work busily and finished reading the documents in her hand before the end of the day.

"Assistant Green, distribute these documents to each department. They will be used tomorrow morning during the meeting." Only after finished ordering him, did she look at the time.

Dominic's deep eyes looked in Penelope's direction through the window glass.

He had been waiting here for several hours, cigarette butts scattered all over the place outside, and the car had long since been filled with a strong smell of smoke. This kind of out-of-control smell made him very uncomfortable.

Looking at the familiar shadow of the car, Penelope's face had no emotion. Her attitude did not budge at all, and she directly pressed the horn.

Only to see the car window slide down, revealing Dominic's side face.

"I’ve been waiting for you for a long time. Let's talk?"

Sitting in the driver's seat, Penelope gripped the steering wheel tightly but was not moved in the slightest. "Talk about what? What is there to talk about between us?"

Dominic explained, "About my mom's comments this afternoon. You don't have to take it to heart."

So, it was this matter.

It seemed that Melissa went to her precious son to complain again, and Penelope was not surprised at all.
