Not a single person in the crowd stepped forward. Everyone watched as Kyla was taken away by the Mendez family's bodyguards.
A true mistress was punished by everyone.
However, there were various sighs in the crowd.
"The Archer family was able to climb up to the level of the Reed family. That’s quite an achievement."
"Dominic marrying the Reed family's precious granddaughter was such a legend to tell, but he had to make a fool of himself by cheating with his mistress and getting divorced."
"I’m afraid Dominic is short-sighted, and now he must be filled with regret."
"..."
Dominic felt the gazes and naysayers of the crowd, his brows deep, his eyes slightly sunken. His sight was staring at the bright and shining Penelope in the crowd, and his heart was mixed with different emotions.
He was incredibly shocked by what had just happened.
Because of her unbelievable shift in identity after their divorce, it seemed that everything had become justified.
He remembered that three years ago, Penelope took the initiative to approach him, proposed marriage, and was willing to keep their identities from being publicized.
He was secretly glad for her thoughtfulness and understanding at the time. After all, it did not make a difference who she married, and she had been doing her job as a wife for three years.
It's just that Dominic was always curious as to what she was trying to accomplish by hiding her identity and marrying him as a beautiful girl.
"Mr. Archer, regarding the emotional entanglement between you and my sister, I have a few words I want to say to you alone." Vincent stood at his side at some point.
Hearing this, Vincent raised his eyebrows. "You are very courageous, which I appreciate, but aren’t you worried about our family stepping in? Although the Archer family does have a pivotal position in Seattle, it's still not enough to put in the attention of our family."
The meaning of Vincent's words for Dominic was obvious.
-My family wants you gone, just like an elephant crushing an ant.
But Dominic was unimpressed. "Even if it's just an egg against a stone, you still have to try to find out."
With the four eyes opposite each other, the air filled with the atmosphere of swords drawn, and Vincent coldly heckled. "We'll see, Mr. Archer."
Undoubtedly declaring war, Dominic did not have the slightest fear. His gaze caught on Penelope standing not far away next to old Mr. Reed. Her knitted brows and smile were all so dazzling, and he could not help but take a step and walk over.
