The banquet was in progress.
At the center, Fred and Vincent were exchanging pleasantries with others. The grandfather and grandson had a strong aura, and Williams came from behind with Kyla.
"Chairman Reed." Williams's tone was slightly low, revealing his respect for Fred.
Fred's face was still polite with pleasantries, but the coldness in the bottom of his eyes deepened. "Director Mendez, when did you return to the top one hundred of the rich list?"
The condescending sarcasm of the superior was obvious.
Williams was embarrassed by this sentence, and he smiled a little guilty. "Exactly one hundredth. It’s just right."
The difference in power between the Mendez Clan and the Reed Clan was vast, and it took a lot of effort for him to squeeze into the top one hundred this time.
"I heard that you're going to introduce your granddaughter to everyone tonight." Williams looked at Kyla by his side and said with a smile, "My granddaughter is a good sport. I'm sure she can become good friends with your granddaughter?"
Kyla smiled softly. "Chairman Reed, Mr. Reed, it's an honor to meet you two."
Vincent cast a sidelong glance at Kyla and said in a cold voice, "My sister doesn't need a friend like Ms. Mendez who can cause car accidents."
With the issue being brought up suddenly, Kyla's smile instantly froze on her face.
Williams naturally understood why Vincent had such an attitude. He was targeting Penelope so much, and as the man who had supported Penelope, it was not too much to say a few words.
He coldly snorted silently. So, what if he did not like it? His grandfather would not let that woman in either.
Thinking of this, Williams decided to find a separate opportunity to chat with Fred later to say a few words about Penelope who was presuming to arrive.
"Go on, you two. We have something to do. Excuse us." Fred raised his eyebrows and glanced at the grandfather and his grandchild before excusing himself.
Williams smiled and said, "Take care, Chairman Reed."
Kyla searched for Dominic's figure in the crowd with a glance. "Grandpa, Dominic is here too. I'll go around and look for him."
"That guy isn't even willing to give us honor! What's the point of sticking with him?!" Williams was still angry at Dominic for canceling the engagement without permission.
She seduced Dominic!
How else could he have a change of heart?!
She was worried that her face would look ugly, affect her image, and bring shame to her family, so she went to the restroom to fix her makeup.
Unexpectedly, as soon as she went in, she saw Penelope.
"Hmph! Why am I seeing you everywhere?!"
Penelope was washing her hands, after which she elegantly wiped them with a paper towel and raised her eyebrows. "I still want to ask you, where's the apology you promised last time?"
She abruptly approached Kyla, startling the other party straight back.
Penelope's red lips curved. "So abashed? Could it be that you're planning to kneel down with me on this day?"
"You're dreaming!" Kyla swept a glance at her. "You're wearing a pile of rags on your body. What makes you think you will be able to attend this party!"
