Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring novel (Naomi) novel Chapter 305

Inside, someone watched as Charles entered the hospital. He held his phone, listening to the voice on the other end.

"Alright, I understand," he said and hung up the phone.

Herland, Moondance Villa.

In the study.

Jonas took down his phone, his gaze slightly lowered, his eyes silently icy. After a while, he activated his phone and sent a message.

...

Charles carried a bag and arrived at Amelia's ward.

He did not knock. Instead, he softly opened the door. The small night lamp in the ward remained lit, clearly illuminating everything inside and casting light on the person sleeping on the edge of the bed.

She was asleep, unaware that he entered when he opened the door. With a gentle gaze, he softly closed the door. He walked over, placed the bag on the bedside table, and was about to take out the clothes to cover her. However, as he reached for the clothes, the fabric rubbed against the bag, producing a faint sound, causing him to freeze.

He glanced at Naomi and saw that she did not wake up, still sleeping deeply. He withdrew his gaze, picked up the bag, turned around, and quietly left.

The door did not close completely, just gently pulled together. Then, he went to a slightly distant place and placed the bag on a long chair. He took out the clothes and only then did he re-enter the ward.

Charles cast a final glance at Naomi and turned away, closing the door with a soft click. This time, he made sure to snap it shut.

Naomi seemed to faintly hear that sound; her eyelashes fluttered, but she was too weary, and the slight change went unnoticed. She drifted back into a deep slumber.

Carrying a bag, Charles returned upstairs to the 16th floor. Aunt Lilly already left, and the crowd from earlier dwindled, leaving only a few individuals stationed not far from the ICU.

At this hour, everyone could not stay there. They needed rest and would return tomorrow to take shifts. When Charles went to pick Naomi up, arrangements were already made – those who needed rest would go home, and those required to stay would continue their watch.

It was about time for Wendy to leave as well. She was here for a long time, and considering her age, it was appropriate for her to take a break.
