A few steps away in front of her stood a woman in a blue silk shirt, a white skirt, and sky-high stilettos. She was gorgeous and slender, a sight to behold.
The woman was smiling, but her eyes were gleaming coldly.
It was Olivia. She seemed to have been standing there for a while, looking at her.
Naomi stopped in her tracks. Her smile turned into a slightly pursed frown. She looked away and continued forward.
It was obvious Olivia y followed her. Perhaps she had been listening to her phone call for a long time. She must have eavesdropped on her call with Maya, or she would not act this way.
At that thought, Naomi gripped her phone tightly and walked past Olivia, turning sideways.
She deliberately stepped out of the booth to take the call as she did not want Olivia to listen in on her call, in case more trouble cropped up. She never expected that Olivia would not only follow her but also eavesdrop on her call.
Naomi did not know what to say or do. She thought leaving would be the best.
The moment she walked past Olivia, Olivia said, "Stop right there."
Naomi stopped in her tracks and turned to face Olivia.
Olivia slowly walked over to Naomi. She was slightly taller than Naomi since she was in ten-centimeter-tall stilettos.
She stopped in front of Naomi, blocking her path and her view. Naomi was forced to look at her.
"Are you not going to explain yourself?" Olivia looked at Naomi calmly. She smiled, but her eyes were frosty. She was angry, no doubt.
However, Naomi knew that she meant nothing by that. She and Maya were just in contact because she wanted to fulfill the promise she had made to her. She never thought of having any relationship with Scott anymore.
Naomi looked at the overbearing Olivia and said, "You got the wrong idea, Ms. Carver."
"The wrong idea, you say? Hah!" Olivia sneered. She crossed her arms at her chest and looked at Naomi mockingly. "Naomi, you've married Scott for three years, and you've never gotten what you wanted. Why are you still hoping for it after you've divorced him? You can stop thinking about it. Scott won't like you. He'll never love you. He's always loved me.
"Don't think that just because you please the children of the Lawsons, that'll make Scott reconsider you. Fat chance. Scott isn't someone who blindly obeys his family. He's a man with his own opinion. Stop being delusional."
Olivia kept talking. She wanted to hold a mirror right in front of Naomi, forcing her to have a good look at herself. How dare Naomi be so delusional as to want someone who was not meant for her?
Naomi frowned. "Ms. Carver, if this is what you think, I can't do anything about it."
