If it was like before. At times like this, she should just sit and wait for Scott.
However, Naomi noticed that Scott still wore his soaked clothes. She held onto the table and grabbed the bag of medicines. She made her way in tiny steps toward the bar. She placed the bag down before pouring him a glass of water to put in the Vitamin C effervescent tablet.
Meanwhile, Scott opened the door and accepted the package from the delivery driver before closing the door.
When he turned, he noticed that Naomi was no longer in her chair. She was standing by the bar with a glass of bubbly water in her hand.
The lights shone on everything, including her.
Naomi's long hair cascaded down her shoulders, looking on quietly. This moment was beautiful.
He stood still with the package in his hand, but his heart fluttered.
He tightened his clutch and walked over to her.
Naomi had placed a Vitamin C effervescent tablet into a glass of water. He walked over to her. He towered over her, and his shadow was looming over her.
Naomi said, "Drink up. It'll help with your immune system." She handed the glass to him.
When she turned to face him, she realized that he was very close to her. Their toes were almost touching.
Naomi was stunned.
Scott took in all her changing emotions, from calm to surprised.
Just like that, he was at her eye level, their faces close to each other. She could even feel his breath on her face. It smelled of orange and alcohol.
Naomi stiffened. His handsome, perfect face was magnified. It caught her off-guard.
Scott looked at every detail on her face, especially her clear, bright eyes. "Why are you not taking my temperature?"
His hot breath which smelled like orange and alcohol fanned Naomi's face. She came to her senses immediately.
"I—I'll do it." She nodded and retreated subconsciously, trying to put some distance between them. They were too close to each other. It was hard for her to measure his body temperature that way.
She did it a little quickly and frantically. She subconsciously placed her hand on the bar top, thinking of holding onto the bar to retreat backward. She never realized that his hand was on the bar top. The moment she placed her hand down, she caught his hand.
