Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 867

Emily felt regretful for she was ashamed of her behavior.

What's the difference between her and those poor women whose husbands cheated on them?

Emily bit her lip tightly, trying to resolve the conflicts within herself. The black Cayenne in front was still running. After the red lights turned green, she was no longer in the mood to think about her dignity, and her face went pale.

It wasn't the way to the private hospital!

Emily held her breath. The fact was like a pebble thrown in a still lake, and ripples quivered across the surface, refusing to be pacified. Her heart was thudding against her ribcage.

Maybe he took a detour so as not to be held up in traffic...

She told herself in her heart, but not long after, the driver in front of her turned back and said, "Miss, the Cayenne stopped!"

Hearing this, Emily looked up blankly and saw that the black Cayenne stopped as he said.

The taxi driver tapped on the steering wheel and asked her, "The man inside seems to get out of the car and go to the hotel. Do you need me to pull over, or go somewhere else?"

"Drop me there!" Her lips moved.

After the taxi driver answered, he pulled the car off

the road.

After paying the fare, Emily opened the car door, got off it, and looked up at the building in front of her.

This hotel...

Her heart started to beat more quickly and her breath rasped in her heaving chest.

If she remembered correctly, Addy lived here. When she called Simon for help last time, they arrived and saved her from Sean who was drunk and then took her here. Addy said she had been living here since she proposed a divorce.

Emily took a deep breath and then walked in.

She waited for the elevator with her fists thrust in her sleeves. When it bell pinged at the ground floor, her blood froze. After entering, she pressed the button on a certain floor.

She came out of the elevator and got round the corner, then an unusual noise at the end of the corridor arrested her attention.

She tried to work out what was happening for she seemed to see two or three uniformed policemen standing there, and two hotel staffs were next to them. Some of the guests in the other rooms poked their heads out of the crack of the door curiously.

Among them, two policemen held down a man who might be drunk. His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and he was struggling desperately.

Emily had only seen the familiar face once before. It was Sean!

However, she saw the tall and straight figure of Simon stood in front of Addy who was still shivering behind him, to block Sean's view and keep her out of any real mischief.

Sean was beaten black and blue. She noticed that a livid bruise on his right cheekbone and the corners of his mouth were red. Simon might get physical with Sean because his right fist clenched slowly. He hurt not so bad as before, but two of his knuckles were still bleeding.

This should be the third time he fought for Addy...

In the evening, he received a call from Addy asking for help. Like what he was worried about, Sean came to pester her with a ruthless determination to get her back. However, he did not expect that Sean still dared to come against the restraining order!

So at that time, he had to rush over immediately...

Almost subconsciously, Simon wanted to call back. At this time, Addy, who was behind him, suddenly said in a trembling voice, "Simon..."

He looked up and saw that Sean, who was being held down by the two policemen, tried to lunge at them.

Simon frowned and took a step back. The two policemen had already come up with their batons and warned angrily, "Don't move!"

Simon narrowed his eyes and said frostily. "Sean, you violated the restraining order requiring you to stay away from Addy. If you do it again, you will be put in jail to wait for the verdict!"

"Good, you, how dare you do this to me!" Sean laughed crazily, and he was insane because he had drunk a lot. He glared threateningly at the two of them, gritted his teeth and shouted at Addy. "Addy, you are so cruel. Suing for divorce and trying to get rid of me? How could you desert me?"

Addy held her shoulders with fear and said in a trembling voice, "Sean, I have given you a chance to repent. It was you who went back on your words and beat me again. I couldn't bear it anymore, so I proposed a divorce! Yes, I hid the truth about my past. I'm sorry. So why not set yourself free today by letting me out of your life?"

Even though Sean was held down by the police, he still struggled to look up. His eyes were dull and red, and he said stubbornly. "No way, I don't want to divorce you. We'd rather torture each other forever. I don't want you to leave me!"

"Our marriage is a mistake. It's good for both of us to end it!" Addy sighed helplessly.

To prevent him from breaking free again, the other policeman strode forward, twisted his arms behind his back and clipped a pair of handcuffs on his wrists, and was about to take him back to the police station for questioning and criticizing.

Sean had given up struggling, but he still stared at Addy with his scarlet eyes, as if his eyeballs were going to pop out. As he was taken away, he laughed and roared savagely, "Addy, you've never loved me!"
