Why Didn't You Come?
Soon, the door of the ward was pushed open again.
Terry, dressed in a suit, walked in, followed by Selene, who lowered her head and looked reluctant to go in.
She seemed to have been woken up from the bed, her uncombed hair a little messy and her hands clasped tightly together. She was wearing pajamas in her coat, and there was no makeup on her face.
Upon entering the ward, Selene called out softly, "Wilson..."
Wilson's pupils contracted as he said majestically, "Tell me, what did you do last night?"
Selene stood there, her shoulders tightened.
She glanced at Tina and snorted. "I hired someone to kidnap her. So what?"
Wilson's eyes darkened, and he stared at her with an air of quiet authority.
He repeated furiously in a deep voice. "So what?!"
Selene felt a sudden chill in her spine and couldn't help but shiver.
Wilson fixed his cold eyes on her. "Selene, have you forgotten what I've warned you before?"
Selene's palms went sweaty.
She would never have imagined that he was willing to help Tina out even after they parted with each other.
Why was Tina so attractive?!
Selene couldn't figure this out.
Feeling his serious gaze press heavily on her, she had no choice but to give in. "I hired two rogues and kidnapped her. She took Dylan away from me. I was so angry that I wanted to teach her a lesson. Otherwise, I could never let this matter go!"
"But I just told the two men to help me scare her. Who knew that they would suddenly go to rape her..." She trailed off.
Because of her guilty conscience, she did not dare to raise her head to look at him.
Nevertheless, she did not lie about this.
When Tina was tied to the factory last night, she heard what the man with yellow hair said the same thing. Later, the man with a golden chain stared at her obscenely and wanted to rape her on the spur of the moment.
Although Selene was always proud and arrogant, she knew what she could do and what she couldn't.
She asked those two thugs to leave Tina in the factory for one night, intending to scare her and make her suffer a little bit. That way, she would feel much better.
As for raping Tina, she had never thought to do that, no matter how much she hated her for taking Dylan away from her.
After all, as a girl, she also hated such things.
Wilson rebuked, "You are a noble lady from the Chin Family! Have you forgotten the excellent moral education you have received since childhood? You actually did such a filthy thing. Now you have learned to hire gangsters to kidnap others. Will you intend to commit graver crimes in the future?"
Selene didn't dare to say a word. Her head hung low and a look of regret appeared in her eyes.
Wilson said coldly, "Apologize!"
Although she realized her mistake and knew that she had caused big trouble, she wasn't willing to give in, especially giving in to Tina.
She hated her terribly!
Selene clenched her fists and said in exasperation, "I won't apologize to her!"
"Don’t you understand what I'm saying?" Wilson stressed each word, his eyes behind his platinum glasses piercing and his face gradually darkened. "I don't want to repeat it for the third time: apologize to her!"
The atmosphere in the room was thick with tension.
It was hard to refuse his kind invitation, so Tina could only nod. "All right!"
Tina sat back on the chair.
Terry set up a tray table on the hospital bed and placed all the exquisite food on it. The staple food was two bowls of rice porridge.
After setting the dishes, he left the ward, saying that he had to go through the discharge formalities.
Once again, there were only two of them left in the ward.
Tina licked her lower lip and took the lead in breaking the silence. "Isla called you, didn't she?"
She called Malee and knew why Wilson would appear there.
Malee didn't stop Isla from calling him. Yet, she thought Tina was still enjoying the happy gathering and the feast. She didn't expect any terrible thing would actually happen to her.
Now that she thought about it, she still felt a little scared. Fortunately, Isla called.
Tina said sincerely, "Sorry to have caused you so much trouble. Thank you for what you did for me last night!"
Wilson merely replied, "Hmm."
He looked down at the dishes on the table, his gaze finally resting on the rice porridge in his hand. For a long time, he didn't start eating.
His eyes behind the glasses darkened, making him appear serious with emotions.
Suddenly, he asked, "Why didn't you send me porridge that night?"
Tina was stunned. "Huh?"
He stared at her and said, "Terry called you and said that I was sick and wanted to have some porridge, but why didn't you come
