On the top floor of the office building of the Chin's Group.
Inside the CEO's office, the bright sunlight shone in through the French windows. The entire room was bright and cozy.
The temperature of the room was lowered by the air conditioner. In this way, people inside the office not only could bask in the sunshine, but wouldn't feel hot or sweltering.
Wilson, who had finished the morning meeting, was sitting on a high-backed chair.
The suit was casually hung on the back of the chair, and the sleeves of his shirt were rolled up to the elbow, revealing the healthy and brown skin of his arms. He was wearing a pair of platinum-gilded glasses, which enabled him to give others a serious but shrewd impression.
Terry was holding a stack of documents, as well as an iPad in his hand.
He was reporting his work to his boss in an orderly manner.
Wilson supported his chin with one hand, while his eyes behind the lens were focused on the bright computer screen.
Terry took a peek at the screen and found that his boss was not looking at stock quotations, but the propaganda and advertisement webpage of the Grand Fashion Design Contest, which was virtually irrelevant to his work.
There were only 20 days left before the finals, and more and more of the advertisements of this contest were launched to the market.
Terry was surprised at the beginning, but then he immediately remembered that Tina was one of the participants.
During the qualifiers, Wilson had virtually moved his office into his car in order to better accompany Tina to participate in the qualifier contests.
Terry tried to focus his attention and continued to report to his boss.
Wilson suddenly interrupted him, "Is there any dinner arrangement for me tonight?" "Yes!" Terry immediately nodded and clicked his iPad. "The meeting will be ended at five o'clock in the evening. At six o'clock, you will be having dinner together with the board chairman of the Prevail Group!"
"Cancel it!" Wilson said.
Terry was stunned, and he quickly reminded his boss, "Mr. China, we made the appointment with the chairman of the Prevail Group a week ago. He has come back
from abroad now and wants to talk about the cooperation projects of next quarter in detail. These projects involve a gigantic amount of capitals!"
In fact, many of Wilson's schedules were arranged a week ago or even a month ago.
In particular, many important meetings had to be appointed a long time ago.
"Well... I know." Wilson nodded.
But the next second, he added, "Cancel it!"
Terry's mouth was wide open."..."
Wilson ignored him directly and took out his mobile phone to send a message.
In the evening...
The setting sun was still shining brilliantly, while a few red clouds were flowing as if they were taking a stroll. The sky looked as magnificent as an oil painting.
White-collar workers were walking out of the office building one after another. As tomorrow would be the weekend, everyone appeared to be very relaxed, and Tina was one of them.
However, she looked more tired than the other white-collar workers.
In the last few days, she not only had to finish her work, but also needed to prepare for the finals of the contest.
Although she felt happy to do these two
things at the same time, her fatigue was undeniable.
Tina was almost the last one to walk out of the office building.
In the morning, she had already received the message from Wilson that he would pick her up in the evening.
When she came out of the entrance, she immediately saw the Rolls-Royce, which was parked on the roadside.
The setting sunline shed on the black car paint and form beautiful haloes. Although the Rolls-Royce was of a low-profile style, it carried the hint of endless luxury.
Tina quickened her footsteps.
After opening the car door, she unexpectedly and amazingly saw somebody who was waiting for her.
Sitting on the leather seat was a little girl with her hair tied into two double-bans, who was grinning at her with two rows of small and white teeth. Her little face was chubby and red, just like an apple.
She called out to Tina, "Mom!"
Tina's eyes widened and her voice grew even louder. "Isla? Who brought you here?!"
She was extremely surprised.
Isla pulled the hemline of her skirt and looked at Wilson, who was sitting next to her, with shyness. "Haha... I was brought here by the domineering CEO. Were here to pick you up after work!"
"No!" Wilson replied.
Terry, who was driving the car, didn't know what to say.
"I'd better just smile without saying anything." He thought. Wilson indeed had cancelled a very important business appointment.
Isla leaned over Tina's ear and covered it with her little hand. "Mom, don't worry. I don't think your presence would become a problem for my date with the Domineering CEO!"
"..." Tina didn't know whether to laugh or cry over her daughter's naivety.
During the evening rush hours, the street was a little blocked, and the speed of the car was therefore slow.
Even so, there was no sign of disappointment inside the car. The crisp and childish voice of Isla sounded from time to time, and the air was filled with happiness and briskness.
Even Terry, who was driving the car, couldn't help but smile sometimes.
An hour later, the Rolls-Royce arrived at a horse ranch in the suburb.
Although this horse ranch was not as large as the one abroad which they visited last time, it still covered a very vast area. Near the entrance, there was a three-story American-style villa, with a large area of open-air fields behind it.
As it had rained last night, there was the fresh fragrance of grass in the air.
The car door opened, and Tina reached out her hand to Isla.
But Isla dodged her hand and said sweetly, "Mom, I want the Domineering CEO to hold me up.
Tina rubbed her forehead and didn't know what to say.
Wilson was very happy to hear that. He reached out, held up Isla, and carried her out of the car with only one arm.
The three of them walked into the horse ranch, while Terry followed them silently.
After entering the villa, a staff member came up and led them to the reception counter enthusiastically.
In order to ensure convenience and safety, one had to change into the riding gear before entering the stable. A female servant came over and led Tina and Isla to the women's locker room nearby.
The mother and daughter left.
Terry, who had been silent all the way, couldn't control his curiosity and asked carefully, "Mr. Chin, are you going to become Isla s father?"
