Both Erik and Holly walked towards Crystal.
Crystal felt awkward as if she was spying on them. She scratched her head and forced a smile, "I'm just feeling a little full at dinner and want to take a stroll! If you two have something to talk about, I won't disturb you!"
Holly grabbed her arm and said, "It doesn't matter. We're done talking!"
When Crystal heard this, she couldn't help but turn to Erik.
Erik was also looking at her with his eyes full of warmth. He smiled and said, "Lil Star, let's go out together tomorrow night! I have a few good comrades-in-arms from Ice city. Holly will also come. It will be be lively!"
Crystal asked, "Holly, are you coming along?"
Holly glanced at Erik and smiled meaningfully. "Yes, of course I will!"
Crystal didn't notice their eye contact in the dark. She simply nodded with a smile. "Okay, I got it!"
Erik smiled and went back to the dinning room.
Holly held Crystal's arm and said, "Lil Star, let's go!"
Crystal smiled in response.
As the sun rose, a new day soon arrived.
Just after lunch, Anthea urged Erik and Crystal to go to the supermarket with her.
After seperating from home for almost a week, Adam would return tomorrow. She wanted to buy his favourite food to fill up the fridge.
Crystal asked in shock, "Mom, are you going to cook?"
She had never seen Anthea appear in front of the stove. Moreover, Adam was reluctant to let his lovely wife cook for him. Even when he was not at home, he would hire a nanny to cook for her.
Anthea said, "Your dad will cook!"
Crystal was stunned.
There were a lot of people in the mall and supermarket. Everyone was busy preparing for the new year.
Anthea was a woman who went shopping crazily. She kept picking things into the shopping cart. When it was almost evening, the three of them went out from the supermarket.
In the direction of the exit, there was a familiar figure walking down.
No way!
She chased all the way here.
At first, Crystal thought that she was wrong. She looked at Erik in surprise and whispered, "Erik, the one in front seems to be..."
Erik looked ahead and frowned.
They were getting closer and closer.
The woman obviously saw them. She stopped and her red lips opened slightly. It seemed that she was going to say hello to Erik.
However, Erik passed by as if he didn't see her.
The elevator arrived at the underground parking lot.
The car was parked far away, so Erik asked Anthea and Crystal to wait for him to pick them up.
Anthea felt extreme happy for his caring.
She felt that he was a good man, just like Adam. If Crystal could marry him, she would be completely relieved!
She sighed in her heart while stroking her daughter's long hair.
Although Riley no longer had any illusions about him, she still felt not reconciled.
After all, he was the one she had pursuing for years.
Looking at the little girl's young and charming face, Riley felt herself very ugly, because she was jealous of her.
This little girl didn't even know anything, but she was able to make Erik pay such a deep and emotional price. Riley wanted to destroy them, so she deliberately turned back and looked for her.
"After that incident, I knew it was impossible between us. I also let go and stopped wasting my time. I knew that no matter how many years I chase behind him, he will never have a place for me in his heart! Because—" Riley paused for two seconds and sighed. "Erik has loved someone for many years! Since you are his sister, you should know him better than I do..."
Crystal couldn't breathe.
An hour later, they reached home.
After they moved all the things into the villa, the sunset glow had risen to the sky. Instead of going in, Erik and Crystal planned to go directly to the gathering.
Erik said to Anthea, "Mom, Lil Star and I will go now!"
Anthea disturbed them last time, so she didn't want to do it again.
"Go ahead! Don't worry about me. I will go to Uncle Leonardo's house to have dinner later. Your Auntie Mila is also very good at cooking!" At the end, she said, "You two can play outside. It doesn't matter how late you come back!"
This hint was obvious enough!
Erik smiled quietly.
Crystal was sitting in the passenger seat, and still seemed to be outside of the situation. She leaned against the chair in a daze.
Her mind was a complete mess, and all she could hear was Riley's words.
He had someone he liked...
