Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 1136

"Ah! Come over here!"

She was still shouting anxiously.

Worry flashed in Adam's eyes. Before he could put down the pajamas in his hand, he turned around and rushed to the guest bedroom on the opposite side with several big strides.

Just like when he left earlier, the light was on in the bathroom. The sound of the water stopped, and through the misty, frosted glass door, he could vaguely make out a silhouette.

Adam frowned. "Anthea, what's wrong?"

"Come in quickly!"

Go in?

Adam swallowed, and the stalwart man hovered outside the bathroom door.

Inside, Anthea was still urging him in a low voice. Her voice sounded very panicky. "Hurry up, Adam! Come in quickly! Ah—"

Hearing the screams, Adam didn't dare to hesitate. He opened the glass door and strode in.

The steam hit them head-on.

Adam's black eyes narrowed. Before he could see the situation inside clearly, he felt a figure coming at him.

He subconsciously reached out to catch it.

Adam held her in his arms and felt that she was trembling. He asked nervously, 'Anthea, are you okay?"

Anthea hung on to him like a koala, trying to get closer to his arms as if she was being chased by a monster. She complained in an aggrieved tone, "Why are you so slow? I'm almost scared to death. There's a cockroach!"

"A cockroach?" Adam was stunned.

"Yes!" Anthea nodded repeatedly, and her voice trembled. "I turned off the tap after the shower, and suddenly a black thing fell from the ceiling. I heard it fell on the ground and felt something on my foot. Then I saw a cockroach! There were cockroaches in the horror movie tonight as well..."

She wasn't the type of delicate girl.

Usually, when she saw bugs, she wouldn't be scared to scream.

But she was too nervous tonight, and she kept replaying the scenes from the movie in her head. Every terrifying scene felt very livid. So when the cockroach fell from the ceiling onto the back of her foot, she was so scared that she screamed!

Adam suddenly came to a realization after listening to her words and heaved a sigh of relief.

But the next second, he took another deep breath.

She only had a bath towel around her. Her long wet hair fell down gently, and her neck and collarbone were exposed in the air. There were still drops of water on them.

Adam lowered his gaze saw her unbelievably soft skin.

He forced himself to look away from her and looked around the bathroom. Putting his palm on her back, he said, "Don't be afraid. The cockroach has fallen into the drain."

He swallowed when he put his hand on her back.

Anthea didn't dare to look back. She just wrapped her arms around his strong waist.

She felt scared out of her wits and her heart was still fluttering with fear. "Can you sleep with me later? I'm really scared..."

Adam's throat was dry.

Since he didn't reply, Anthea was anxious and asked, "Uncle-in-law?"

Adam had no choice but to say, "Okay."

Hearing his response, Anthea's suddenly calmed down a lot. "Phew! That's great!"

As she spoke, she tried her best to move closer to him.

It took Adam a lot of effort to push her away from his arms. He tried not to lower his head and look at her. His voice was a little hoarse. 'Anthea, put your clothes on first."

Anthea lowered her head. Her face was as red as the sunset glow.

Adam lit the cigarette with the lighter in her little hand.

Anthea took back the lighter. Seeing that he had been sitting here and smoking silently, she yawned several times. She couldn't help asking, "Aren't you sleepy?"

"I'm fine." Adam said in a low voice.

It wasn't a matter of whether he was sleepy or not. What he needed most now was self-control.

Seeing that he still wanted to sit here and continue smoking a few cigarettes, Anthea said mischievously, "I want a smoke, too!"

Adam's face darkened slightly.

Anthea often saw him smoking. When he breathed in and out the smoke, he was particularly charming. She was a little interested and wanted to have a try.

Taking out a cigarette from the box, she wanted to imitate him and put it in her mouth.

However, before the cigarette touched her lips, he suddenly grabbed the back of her head with his big

hand.

Anthea was forced to move forward. She watched him take a deep drag on his cigarette, then kissed her on the mouth and breathed all the smoke into her mouth.

She was choked by the smoke and caught in a fit of cough.

Anthea almost burst into tears as she blew out the smoke. She felt that not only her mouth and nose, but also her lungs were aching from the coughing.

Adam narrowed her eyes and said in an authoritative tone, "Do you want to smoke now?"

Anthea twitched her mouth in grievance. "No!"

Adam pinched her nose.

Anthea looked at him with a bitter face, and the spicy taste of tobacco was still in her mouth. She raised her head angrily and bit his thin lips fiercely.
