Presiden's wild wife novel Chapter 51

Logan sent the photos to Elena once he got them. Elena was in a good mood and called a taxi immediately. “Wait for me at home, I’m back now!"

The call was over but Logan still stared at his phone, smiling dotingly. Jacob had gradually got used to this. It seemed that after Elena appeared in Logan’s life, he became more emotional and lively. He wondered if Elena had some kind of magic.

When Elena got back, Mia welcomed her immediately. “Why are you so early today, Madam?”

Elena changed her shoes and cracked a smile. “The work is finished smoothly so I leave earlier!”

Amused by her naughty look, Mia laughed and went back to the kitchen.

Where was Logan? Elena went to the living room and saw the man she was looking for. She ran to him at once.

“Why are you so happy?” Logan had already guessed the reason. But he asked anyway.

Elena gave him a sly smile and told him everything. Jacob, who was standing aside, was astonished by what she did. She was so bold. If anything went wrong, she would be the one to suffer.

“Thank you, Logan.” Elena said to Logan sincerely.

She knew what happened to Aria and the two assistants was because of him, though he didn’t say anything. Thanks to him, Aria fell into a rage and did that stupid thing.

Logan nodded and smiled. “Well, don’t risk yourself like this again.”

After all, you never knew what would happen next. If, by any chance, something went wrong, she might get hurt.

Elena knew that she was imprudent this time, so she didn’t say anything.

At this moment, Elena’s phone rang. She frowned when she found who was calling.

“Mason Bush?” Logan asked.

Elena nodded and knew exactly why he was calling. He must do it for Emma. Elena’s smile disappeared and she picked up the phone reluctantly.

Mason was growling on the other side. “Elena, What did you do to Emma! Why is she trying to kill herself? Do you think you can do whatever you like after you married Logan?”

Elena felt depressed and heart-broken after hearing this. So this was her father who only cared about Emma.

“What did she say?” she spoke in a chilly tone.

Mason was somewhat taken back by her chilly reply, but he continued quickly. “It doesn’t matter what she said. I ask you to get back! Right now!”

The next second, he hung up. Elena took a deep breath and composed herself. There was no disappointment on her face. Instead, she held Logan’s hand and said, “Do you want to enjoy a show with me?”

She looked at him with those bright eyes and her smile was pretty, which made Logan nod his head subconsciously.

....

They arrived at the Bush’s house soon. Before they even went in, they heard Emma’s cry from inside so clearly, making them both speechless.

Seeing Elena coming back, Mason rushed out in a minute and was going to explode in anger. But his fury disappeared when he saw Logan. “Why are you here, Logan?”

Logan looked at him coldly. “I come back with Elena. So hard to understand?”

“Of...course not...” There was cold sweat on Mason’s forehead. Again Emma’s cry came suddenly. Mason put on a serious look and said, “You’re coming at the right time, Logan. You can tell who is wrong!”

Elena looked at Mason unpleasantly. What did he mean? Who was wrong? Did he think he could blame this on her again?

Emma clutched Mason’s hand and sobbed as if she didn’t hear her sarcasm. “Dad, you should know me. Elena sent me a photo today. She told me she was having a meal with Jeremy. I felt so angry that I went there directly. But I didn’t expect Jeremy stood on her side! I don’t know what Elena is talking now. But she is slandering me!”

Mason’s eyes fell sharply on Elena, “Is she telling the truth!?”

“How could she prove I sent a message to her? Do you have evidence?” Elena looked at her at ease since she was all prepared.

Emma took out her cellphone hastily. She hadn’t deleted that message. But it was from a strange number.

Elena pretended to be wronged and said sadly. “Emma, Jeremy told me you’ve been investigating him. I didn’t believe him before. But now I do. I guess it must be the detective you hired that sent you this message. I understand why Jeremy is angry. After all, isn’t it your own fault? You two have already married. But why did you hire a private eye to investigate him?”

“What!?”Emma stomped in anger.

Mason’s eyes lingered from Elena to Emma and didn’t know who to believe. Then he turned to Logan, “Logan, what do you...”

Logan leaned back and said calmly. “I’ve checked it in person. The colleagues confessed that they were ordered by Mrs. Smith to hurt Elena. As a result, Elena was in hospital for two days. As for the co-called Mrs. Smith, I guess, you must know her very well?”

His voice was low and reassuring. When he finished, he looked at Emma with a sneer.

Mason didn’t believe Elena’s words, but since Logan was defending her...

“They’re slandering me, dad! I didn’t do anything!” Emma explained in a hurry.

Mason patted her hands and the aggressive look on his face had vanished. He turned to Elena and faked a smile. “I was wrong. I misunderstood you. You won’t blame me, will you? Elena?”

Emma stared at Mason in disbelief. While Elena got more relaxed and less angry.

The next moment, however, Mason added, “Anyway you two are sisters. I know Emma made a stupid mistake but you shouldn’t stick to it. After all, you are safe and healthy now. So just let it go and never bring it up...”
