“Hah. Daddy hasn’t mentioned this at all,” scoffed Maison who didn’t buy a single word she said. He, for one, wasn’t going to allow Zivon and Jenna to be alone together…! After all, Aunt would surely get jealous if she found out!

Maison’s train of thought was cut short when he saw Zivon walking in. Hopping to his feet, he then ran toward Zivon while asking, “Are you heading up the mountain, Daddy? Bring me with you!”

Looking at how puzzled Zivon looked upon hearing that, Jenna quickly explained, “We’re implementing what we discussed back then, remember?”

Knowing full well that he had only talked to her about the divorce since that time, Zivon simply nodded with a serious look on his face. He was already done with his work, and he had also arranged for the flight back home on the day after tomorrow. It was high time they settled things, once and for all…

Shaking the thought off, Zivon then turned to look at Maison before saying in a gentle, yet stern tone, “I’m headed to a construction site where children aren’t allowed to enter. Don’t worry, Daddy will return to accompany you tomorrow once I’m done with work tonight.”

Maison knew that he couldn’t ever change his father’s decisions. With that in mind, he simply replied, “…Well, alright then, Daddy… Be safe, alright…?”

“I will,” said Zivon as he glanced at Jenna before instructing Nathan to take good care of Maison. Following that, he turned to leave with Jenna…

Once the two were gone, Maison quickly slipped his coat on before saying, “Help me secretly follow Daddy around, Uncle Miller…!”

“…C-come again…?! Little Master, let’s just do as he ordered and stay here… Please…? If it’s fun you want, I could take you to an amusement park instead…?” suggested the shocked Nathan who knew that the boy always got himself into trouble whenever he grew restless.

“I refuse. After all, Daddy was lying! He doesn’t have any assessment projects at all! I’m just worried that he didn’t bring me along since he’s doing something very dangerous… With that in mind, I need to check on him! I promise I won’t do anything rash! Well… maybe I will if something happens… But only if I know I’m able to help! Either way, if you aren’t taking me there I’ll just go myself!”
