Xavia, for one, really hadn’t expected him to have called her over for an affectionate conversation!

“…Keith, I-”

“I love you, Xavia…” interrupted Keith as he pulled her close and tried to kiss her. Though he was sick, he still had more strength than she had. With that in mind, Xavia ended up falling into his embrace, unable to even squirm off!

It was at that moment when Zivon returned to the ward… and upon seeing the two so close together, his eyes instantly darkened.

Noticing how frigid the atmosphere had suddenly become, Keith quickly released Xavia while saying, “Oh? You’re back, Uncle Zivon.”

Upon hearing that, Xavia realized that Zivon was standing at the entrance. Looking at his face, she saw that he was giving her an extremely profound—and rather dangerous—gaze. This prompted her to quickly look away as she muttered, “I’ll… be heading back to my room first, Keith… Go get some rest for now…”

However, before she could leave, Keith pulled her back before lifting his blanket and saying, “Actually… Why don’t we sleep together tonight, Xavia…?”

Since they were a couple and there was a lack of beds in the wards, it should’ve been natural for them to sleep together, but… Their relationship wasn’t like that!

With that in mind, Xavia had a feeling that he had only said that to irk Zivon. Choosing not to expose his intentions, Xavia was prompted to reply, “…That would hurt your injuries, Keith… I’ll rest in the ward next door instead… For now, get some rest. Good night…”

Following that, she turned to leave… and upon walking past Zivon, she didn’t even greet him. This caused Zivon to momentarily glower at her before following her out!

Xavia had just taken a few steps out of the ward when a strong hand suddenly pulled her to a corner of the building! By the time she regained her bearings, she realized that she was staring right at Zivon’s charming face! Understandably surprised, Xavia eventually managed to ask, “…What are you doing, Young Master Burton?”

“How do you truly feel about Keith? Are you planning to leave, or really develop a relationship with him?” replied Zivon as he looked straight into her eyes.

…He had chased after her just to ask about this? Though this gave the impression that he really cared about her, in the end, Xavia knew that he showed the same amount of care to many other women. That was something she didn’t need.

She was distancing herself from him because she was afraid that Keith would be mad? That was her reasoning? Hah… How heartless…

In the following two days, Keith remained in the ward to take care of Keith. Zivon, however, returned to Grafton, and never showed himself before her again.

This, of course, was the prime opportunity for Xavia to peacefully plan out the project.

Throughout that period, she made sure to remind herself not to think about anything else… and on the fourth night, Keith was finally allowed to be discharged. Now free to leave, the two then returned to Grafton together…

Upon sending Keith back to his room, Xavia was prompted to say, “While it’s true that your injuries can now be exposed to water, you still need to be careful while using the shower…”
