Fast forward to the next morning, Xavia got up early to have a walk around. To her surprise, she soon came across Zivon and Nathan having a chat in the bamboo pavilion.

Just as she was wondering what they were talking about, she overheard Nathan saying, “So… Do you have any ideas for the green space proposal, Young Master…?”

…They were talking about that?! Not wanting to miss out on the chance to get ideas, Xavia quickly hid behind some bushes to eavesdrop!

“I don’t have any ideas yet. After all, Grandma is old and she’d definitely love a more emotional design. Unfortunately, that isn’t my specialty,” replied Zivon as he looked toward the mountains, knowing full well that Xavia was listening in.

Following that, Zivon added, “Great-grandma was the one who had given that plot of land to Grandma… I know Grandma had a pretty deep relationship with Great-grandma, so do you have any ideas?”

After a brief pause, Nathan replied, “Well… Lady Burton loved eating hot pot with her mother in the past… How about constructing the largest nocturnal hot pot city in the world? Not only will Lady Burton love it, but it’ll also be a perfect representation for Darlsbury. If everything is planned well, it’ll definitely end up becoming a landmark building!”

Momentarily narrowing his eyes, Zivon eventually said, “Not bad, though I don’t think I want to do that… Any other suggestions?”

…A nocturnal hot pot city? That was a fine idea! If he wasn’t taking the idea, she was! Grinning slyly, the girl then quietly slipped off, not knowing that Zivon himself was smiling as he watched her leave from the corner of his eyes…

“…This move of yours is truly incredible, Young Master…” muttered Nathan who had been dragged along by Zivon to put on an act with him. Maybe he should’ve been an actor…

Shaking the thought off, Nathan then added, “That aside, the green space is extremely valuable, and it also represents Lady Burton’s affection for you… With that in mind, isn’t it a pity for you to just hand it to Keith like that…?”

Raising a slight brow, Zivon then said, “Even if he gets it, do you really think that Keith will be able to handle the project?”

After saying that, Zivon then casually left, leaving Nathan momentarily stunned. So that’s why Zivon wasn’t worried…!

Essentially, since the green space project could range from a billion to nearly a trillion dollars, no average person would be able to handle it. In other words, with Keith’s current abilities, it would most likely end up getting suspended. Even if the project went well, to Zivon, trading that land for Xavia’s freedom was probably worth it…

Keith, for one, had never met a woman who didn’t love money, and he really didn’t want to lose her. Still, when he thought about the near non-existent odds of her winning, he sighed before signing his name there as well…

“Thank you,” said Xavia as she properly kept the document before resuming her journey up the hill. She had chosen to come to this quiet place in hopes of getting inspiration for the proposal.

Since Keith hadn’t followed, she simply continued walking on, and on… Until eventually, she realized that there wasn’t a person in sight. Had she actually gotten lost at such a crucial time…?! She wasn’t going to die out here before even attempting to succeed, right?! She couldn’t be that unlucky!

Shaking the negative thoughts off, Xavia quickly began retracing her steps… Unfortunately, she soon realized that due to all the bamboo around the area—and the fact that the ground was littered with leaves—, barely any footprints remained!

Suddenly remembering that she still had her phone, she quickly fished it out… Only to realize that there wasn’t a line here! In the end, all she could do was sit around—to preserve energy—and wait to be rescued…

Meanwhile, everyone else was busy riding cable cars, taking pictures, picking bamboo fungus, and generally having a good time. Since they were having a free and easy period, nobody bothered to make a headcount.

It was only that night when everyone gathered again to have dinner when Keith could be heard asking, “Have any of you seen Xavia?”
