Whatever the case was, Keith then continued enjoying watching Xavia fumble about as she treated his wounds… and five minutes later, she finally completed the task. This prompted her to say, “I’m done, Young Master Keith… There wasn't any inflammation on the wound, so there’s no need to worry…”
Now that she was done, she was about to try to leave when Keith suddenly pulled her wrist while saying in a serious tone, “Xavia…”
With how close she was to him, she realized that he smelled faintly of old books… Even so, her anxiousness quickly snapped her out of it. Forcing a casual façade on, she then replied, “…Yes? What is it?”
“There’s no need to be that polite with me in the future… Others will surely use that fact to make a fuss…” said Keith.
…So this was what he wanted to talk about… Breathing a sigh of relief, Xavia then replied, “Hmm… How about I call you darling when we’re outside, then?”
In this day and age, calling strangers ‘darling’ wasn’t frowned upon. Xavia, for one, called her delivery customers ‘darling’ all the time. After all, it was simply the best term she had heard of.
Regardless, Keith was pleased with her answer. Revealing a smile, he then said, “Sounds good to me. Now sit down. I’ll change your bandage for you…”
“…H-huh…? There’s no need for that… I already changed them last night…”
“Well, you’ve been running around all day, so it’s only proper for you to change them again,” replied Keith as he pulled her down. Before Xavia could refuse again, he had already untied her bandage and was now tending to the wound…
Since they were now sitting face to face—and his robe was still open, Xavia was so embarrassed that she looked as red as a beet! In the end, she couldn’t help but mutter, “…U-um… Could you… cover your chest…?”
Looking down, he saw that he only had a little of his front exposed. Wasn’t she being a bit too conservative…? Still, it wouldn’t do him good to refuse her request, so he simply did as she told before continuing to treat her wound.
Even so, he didn’t want to reveal what he knew, so he chose to say, “…I’ll handle my parents. All you need to do is stay by my side and try to take this relationship seriously… That aside, I’m done tending the wound, so go ahead and rest…”
He wasn’t being forceful at all, yet that only served to make Xavia feel even more guilty. Even so, she ultimately just gave him her thanks before heading upstairs to get a shower and get some rest…
By the time she laid in bed, her thoughts were all over the place. How was she going to continue facing Keith after this…? And how was she going to respond to him after the six-month period was up? If she kept wasting his time, how was she going to make it up to him…? It was evident that she was barely going to get any sleep that night…
Fast forward to six-thirty the next morning, Xavia’s alarm rang, prompting her to get up to prepare breakfast. It was the only thing she could do for Keith at the moment…
To her surprise, the second she got downstairs, she was greeted by the sight of…
