After staring deeply at both him and Jenna, Xavia simply replied, “I’m afraid I have to correct you two, Brother-in-law, sister. That isn’t a mouse at all. Instead, it’s the carefully picked out Sylvie that I got for you.”

…What? What the hell was a Sylvie?

Just as everyone was wondering what Xavia was going on about, Nathan walked over while declaring, “I’ve caught the animal, Young Master Burton!”

Once it came into view, it was revealed that the tiny fur ball had snow-white fur… and it was adorably hopping up and down in Nathan’s hand!

“…That’s no mouse! It’s a silver fox! Sylvie the Silver fox hamster!”

“So that’s what it was! Really though, what a shock I had when I heard that Third Young Lady had gifted her sister a mouse!”

“I know right? Anyway, that little guy is so cute!”

“Thank god none of us accidentally stomped it to death…”

While everyone was busy patting themselves on their chests, Zivon was still preoccupied with being irked by the fact that Xavia had called him and Jenna, ‘Brother-in-law and sister’.

Shaking his disgust off, he then glared at Jenna before asking, “Why didn’t you pay closer attention?”

“…I…” whimpered Jenna who was trembling like no tomorrow. She, for one, was terrified of rodents. Even if it was a hamster, it still belonged in that family!

Eventually, she managed to calm down a little. Just as she was about to explain herself, however, Xavia walked up to her before saying, “I’m sorry for frightening you, sis, but I thought you loved little animals! After all, is the theme of your award-winning film not about protecting animals? I remember there being hamsters in the film as well, which was the main reason why I chose one as a gift!”

Whatever the case was, Jenna quickly snapped out of it and stared straight into Xavia’s eyes as she replied, “Sis, don’t go spouting such nonsense… I simply hadn’t expected the gift to be a living thing! That aside, the lighting isn’t exactly optimal here, so my mind must have played some tricks on me. Regardless, I really do like small animals, and I appreciate that you took the time to pick out such a thoughtful gift after watching my film… Thank you from the bottom of my heart…!”

Sensing the irritation in Jenna’s final sentence, Xavia simply smiled as she walked up to Nathan and took the hamster… before holding it before Jenna and saying, “I’m glad to hear that. Then Sylvie shall be depending on you from now on. May it bring you lots of joy!”

Watching as the lively hamster hopped around in Xavia’s hands, the creeped-out Jenna couldn’t help but dig her nails into her crossed arms. Only god knew how badly she wanted to scream at that moment. Hell, she wanted to toss that animal to the ground and stomp it to death! However, doing so would end her career!

Gritting her teeth as she suppressed her anger, Jenna eventually outstretched her hands to pick the hamster up… and the second its fur touched her, Jenna felt goosebumps running down her entire body!

Smirking when she saw how Jenna was holding the hamster, Xavia gave her a ‘friendly’ smile before whispering, “Feeling angry…? Disgusted, even? That’s how I felt when I realized that you had lied about your relationship with Keith.”

“If you weren’t such a b*tch, I’d never have gotten involved in your fiascos, nor would I have had to get dissed on by the public. Thankfully, I at least managed to escape being put in prison for a decade… That aside, I’ve truly been a fool for continuously sympathizing and appreciating you when you were the one repressing me the entire time…!”
