“You went out to buy cake?”

Stefan said softly, “I heard that desserts can heal people’s hearts and make people happy. It suits the both of you.”

“Thank you, Uncle Talton.” Maison took it happily.

Xavia was also very touched. He said ‘the both of you’. He wasn’t just referring to Maison. That meant that he had also noticed her subtle emotions. He was really a very attentive man.

“Thank you, Chairman Talton. Are we holding you up? You can just go ahead with your plans if you have something to do.”
