As soon as he heard that he was going out to play, Maison quickly got up and said, “Okay. I want to go to the aquarium.”
After that, he got out of bed and took the initiative to wash up and change his clothes.
Xavia looked at his lively appearance. How could he possibly have autism? She smiled with affection as she got up and prepared the items that they would need to head out.
The aquarium was located in the southern part of the city, and it covered a surface area of thousands of square meters. There was a variety of fishes and coral underwater plants, as well as a mermaid performance. Although the aquarium was not as magnificent and spectacular as it was in the big cities, it was still sufficient to satisfy children’s curiosity.
Xavia put a mask on for Maison, and she brought him to buy the entrance tickets before they entered the oceanarium.
As it wasn’t the weekend, there weren’t many people at the aquarium. Maison wandered around freely inside as he looked at different kinds of fishes, his eyes glowing like the starlight.
His father had been busy with work ever since he was young, and his mother’s treatment toward him was indescribable. He had never played anything before, therefore he had no idea that there were actually so many fun things in this world. It was only after Xavia brought him out to play that he began to gain interest in the children’s world.
As for his cold attitude, it was already completely gone.
Bang! As Maison was walking, he suddenly bumped into a figure. When he raised his eyes, he saw a very mean and unkind face.
“You brat! Watch where you’re walking! Don’t you have eyes?!”
She cursed and pointed at Maison, and her voice was very loud. This made Maison curl his body out of fright as he didn’t know how to face her.
Xavia was buying a dolphin lollipop for Maison. When she heard the shout, she turned her head around and saw an angry Cara pointed at the child as she scolded him. They were surrounded by several people, and Maison was so frightened that he had already turned pale.
Xavia hurriedly ran over and held Maison’s small hand. She stood in front of him and said, “Madam Fuller, he is just a child. You are scaring him.”
Her perception of Cara was instantly refreshed, and she tightened her fists. The only bit of family warmth and affection between a mother and daughter that she had left in her heart was gone. She raised her eyes, and with an unusually cold look in her eyes, she said, “You want me to say everything clearly? All right then. We’ll just let everyone know that you sold and drugged your own daughter. After that, we can get the police to come and comment on this matter then. Let’s see if you should be sentenced to a few years in prison.”
As soon as Xavia said these words, the people surrounding them turned around and fixed their gazes on Cara instead. “Sold her daughter?”
“Are there still people who would sell their own daughter nowadays?”
Cara shrank her neck out of guilt. After that, she then spoke up sternly out of a sense of justice, “Don’t listen to her! I was just trying to make sure that she can get married! She is already twenty two years old, and yet she’s ignorant, incompetent and hasn’t accomplished anything in her life. How is she going to live for the latter half of her life if I don’t find a man for her to marry?”
“Pfft!” Xavia sneered when she heard this. She asked rhetorically, “You want me to get married to a pervert who is forty to fifty years old and already has two dead wives? You even used abnormal means to trick me into going over there, not to mention you drugged me as well? If this is your good intention, then wouldn’t your bad intention mean killing me?”
“You claim that you are doing this for my own good, but in actuality, you’re simply doing this because of the tens of thousands of dollars that Chairman Wilson has paid you.”
