Xavia was fast asleep in the hospital bed. Her brows were knitted and she had a pained expression on her face.

“It hurts…Don’t…” Her whimper echoed throughout the ward.

Was she having a nightmare?

Zivon took long strides towards her. “Xavia? Wake up.”

Xavia was having a nightmare. In it, a man was pinning her down strongly… It was that night four years ago. She was completely powerless to resist and could not break free from his grasp at all.

Suddenly, someone called out to her. She opened her eyes and saw the person from her nightmare!

Surprised and frightened, she instinctively raised her hand and slapped him across his face.

“Well…If I said that I was not awake yet and mistook you for the wrong person, will you believe me?”

Mistook him for the wrong person? He could clearly see that when she woke up and saw him, she looked even more afraid. She had slapped him with the full knowledge that it was him and not someone else.

Xavia felt as if his sharp eyes could see right through her soul, and guilt creeped into her.

“Ahh! It hurts so much.” She suddenly cried out.

Xavia became even more petrified. Faced with Zivon’s intense gaze, she felt that Matthew, who was supposed to be her lifesaver, had only added fuel to the fire instead! It would have been better if he did not come here at all!

She brazenly denied, “Dr. Rudner, you must have misunderstood, I’ve never given birth to a child before. Oh, are you asking because the people outside think I am Jenna?”
