Not really understanding what he was implying, Fabiola simply nodded before happily gobbling down the food…
While eating, however, a thought suddenly came to her… and after swallowing her food, she was prompted to say, “…Hey, Hanley…? Could we keep our marriage a secret for a bit longer?”
Watching as Hanley froze, Fabiola quickly added, “You know, because my parents still don’t know about this yet… Sure, they respect my decisions, but… Marriage is still a pretty big deal, you know?”
It took him a while, but he eventually placed a drumstick on her plate before saying, “Very well.”
Not expecting him to agree so easily, the pleasantly surprised Fabiola was prompted to raise her champagne glass before replying, “I’m glad you understand… To our friendship!”
As Fabiola began downing the wine in a single gulp, she failed to notice how bitter Hanley now looked. After all, she had specifically used the word, ‘friendship’…
It was some time later when Hanley noticed how wobbly Fabiola was… and following a sigh, he began carrying her to bed.
Once there, he was just about to go get her a towel to wipe her face clean when all of a sudden, the drunk woman grabbed his hand and mumbled, “Don’t… go…”
Feeling his heart soften, Hanley then sat by her side before saying, “…Don’t worry, I’m just getting you a towel to wipe your face clean…”
“Don’t need that… Just want you here…”
Watching as the angelic yet voluptuous woman began hugging him, Hanley took a while before replying, “Very well, I’ll stay…”
‘I see… When will we be able to meet again?’
‘Sorry, bit busy at the moment. I’ll reply when I can.’
Though she was upset with his response, she also knew just how busy that man was… With that, she shook her head before starting to eat breakfast. Once done, she sat on the couch and began thinking about how she should handle her relationship with Neal… but as usual, she came to no solid conclusion. Damn it, maybe it would just be best if she went with the flow!
Determined not to let this bother her anymore, she called Lea out to go yachting… and for the next two days, both of them stayed in that yacht.
Upon arriving home, Fabiola wondered if it was time that Hanley cooked the fish that they had previously caught… but to her dismay, not only had the fish lost some weight, but Hanley wasn’t home yet either… What’s more, he hadn’t texted her once. Was he really that busy…?
