Sniffling in response, Fabiola then looked up… and when she saw the black wig with ribbons on it, her eyes instantly widened! What a beautiful wig…!
Smiling when he saw her expression, Zivon then gently attached it to her head before saying, “Like it? If you don’t, Daddy has many other designs…”
Smiling widely when she saw herself in the mirror, Fabiola replied, “No… This is perfect… I… I finally have nice hair again…!”
Fighting the urge to purse his lips, Zivon smiled subtly as he patted the pitiful child’s head… Oh, if only he could take back all the pain inflicted onto her…
Shaking his head, he then turned to look at Yulia before saying, “…Would you like one too, Yulia?”
It was clear to Xavia that Zivon was doing this not only because he knew Yulia would like the idea, but also because he didn’t want Fabiola to feel left out for being different… This man truly was on a whole other level…
Fast forward to a few days later, it was already New Year’s Eve, and snow had nearly blanketed everything outside in a layer of white… Even so, the Frankstons were all joyous as they merrily prepared for the new year.
“Little to the left! Perfect!”
“Here, brought the flowers over!”
Watching as she quickly drank down a glass of wine, Ian couldn’t help but raise a slight brow as he said, “…There’s no need to be so formal with us, you know? We’re family, and it’s only right for us to help one another… What matters is that we’re all safe and sound again…”
Before anyone could add anything, however, Zivon was quick to say, “No, it’s proper for us to thank all of you… From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us get our little princess back, and… We are eternally grateful to all of you… Oh, and since Xav doesn’t like the smell of wine, I’ll toast with this cup of tea instead.”
Following that, he drank the tea, prompting everyone to sigh. Well, they knew what Zivon meant, so be it. With that, they continued celebrating the night away…
Throughout the event, Xavia couldn’t help but recall the times when she had been poor, miserable, and sick… To think that after all those ordeals, she would finally be happy not from her wealth, but from being able to be around those who truly cared for her…
