Either way, Xavia made sure to stick by Zivon’s side throughout his rehabilitation period, and both she and her man found their gloominess quickly melting away… However, as time went on, she couldn’t help but notice some rather… odd things.
For one, why were the Frankstons living in Zivon’s villa? What’s more, none of her family members seemed to be working… What was up with that?
When she finally took the chance to ask, she was startled by what she heard! To think that Thomas’s fiasco, alongside the fact that Jenna was still alive, forced her family to resign from their positions…
Naturally, Jenna still felt guilty about that, and after shedding a few tears, she was prompted to mutter, “…I’m sorry for bringing so much trouble to the family…”
Shaking her head, Xavia replied, “Hey, you can’t just shoulder all the blame… Had I not been comatose, Von wouldn’t have brought you to that event, and Thomas would’ve never had that chance to call us out like that… So if anyone’s to be blamed, it should be me.”
“That doesn’t even make any sense… Really, just… Ian shouldn’t have saved me back then-”
“Alright, that’s enough… The milk has already been spilled, so let’s just move on from that…” interrupted Xavia, causing both of them to fall silent for a while. After all, they both knew deep down that things weren’t going to be as easy as that…
Their trains of thought were cut short when Zivon suddenly entered and said, “You know, they didn’t really want to work for much longer either… After all, they wanted more time to spend with you guys, so don’t worry too much.”
“…Are you sure?” muttered Xavia who couldn’t imagine anyone wanting to willingly step down from that high pedestal…
“…Hmm? Care to elaborate…?”
“Well… After I fell into the sea, I somehow arrived at a point in time when we hadn’t even gotten acquainted yet. Naturally, I thought I had undergone time travel or some kind of rebirth process, but… Well, we both know it was just a long dream now. Anyway, I was so happy that I was being given another shot at this that I did my best to stay away from you the entire time… After all, if I wasn’t with you, none of this would have happened…”
“However, I made sure to take care of all the potential threats from the shadows… I’d take care of Liam, Fiona, and all the other villains who could disrupt your life long before they could strike… I just wanted you to have a peaceful life, you know? Thankfully, I succeeded, and though I thought I could move on after that, you somehow got to know me again, and… Well, I fell in love with you again in that long dream…”
“In the end, I guess I just want to say that no matter the circumstances, we can never truly be apart…”
