Due to Zivon’s silence, Ava’s tone grew worried as she asked, “…Zivon? Why aren’t you saying anything? What’s wrong with Jenna?”

Quickly snapping out of it, Zivon then exited the webpage before replying, “Don’t worry, grandma, she simply has a cold. With that said, I’m hanging up first.”

After hanging up, Zivon got to his feet before striding off to his study to find Xavia. To his annoyance, he soon found out that she had locked the room door! Why was this woman so keen on treating him like a pervert or outlaw?!

Understandably angry, Zivon then growled in a commanding tone, “Open the door, Xavia.”

Even though she couldn’t see him from behind the door, anyone would’ve been able to imagine the rage on his face upon hearing his tone. Despite that, Xavia—who was still lying on the bed—wasn’t the least afraid.

Instead, she simply replied, “I’ve just posted a public status stating that I’m recuperating. With that said, there’s no need for me to continue putting on an act with you, Young Master Burton. With that said, just focus on doing your own things from now on as I stay in my room. It’d be best if we never meet and simply mind our own businesses.”

So she had done all that just to avoid him?! Zivon was now irritated beyond comparison, his self-esteem not willing to just tolerate this behavior…! Actively combating his rage, Zivon then growled, “…Fine. So be it! You’d better remain inside… One step out and I’m breaking your legs…!”

Hah! As if she ever wanted to leave! She’d rather die of old age in there rather than face him again!

“…Regardless, good luck explaining your illness to grandma,” growled Zivon as he turned to leave…

Upon hearing that—alongside Zivon’s footsteps leaving the area—, Xavia quickly realized that if she fell ill out of the blue, grandma would surely come over to visit! Should that happen, then she’d surely need to continue pretending to show love and affection to Zivon!

Unfortunately for Zivon, his guess was completely off. In the end, she managed to remain in her room for an entire week, and even then, she hadn’t shown any signs of wanting to leave…!

Since she was nowhere to be seen throughout the villa for so long, Zivon would’ve surely suspected that she wasn’t even there had it not been for her clothes that still remained hanging in her closet. The whole situation was honestly irking Zivon to no end…

Either way, on the night of the seventh day, Mrs. Lockhart and Daphne came over to the villa. Upon seeing Zivon, Mrs. Lockhart immediately said, “I trust you’ll welcome us in since we took the liberty to pay you a visit, correct…?”

Truth be told, Zivon had never invited anyone to this private villa before. Even so, Zivon simply put on a perfect poker face as he asked, “What’s the matter?”
