Her voice was strong and firm.

It was very surprising to see Xavia, who was initially adamant on not apologizing, suddenly change her stance.

Keith looked at her in distress. “Jenna…”

“It’s okay.” Xavia was unwilling to implicate an innocent person. She looked at Fiona and said resolutely, “Miss Squire, it’s my fault for hitting you. I am sorry.”

Xavia then turned to Zivon. “Young Master Burton, everything that happened tonight is my own fault, so don’t take it out on Young Master Keith. I will find out the truth behind this matter.”

After she was done speaking, Xavia stepped past them and left without looking back.

Her beautiful figure seemed somewhat desperate and lonely, and Keith quickly caught up to her.

Zivon looked at the both of them leaving and his expression darkened even more.

Had she only apologized because of Keith? She only did it because she didn't want to implicate him?

“Brother Zivon, are you okay?” Fiona asked in concern.

Zivon’s gaze fell on her red and swollen face. “Go to the hospital with Zayne and continue your work, I’ll take care of things here.”

He thought of something then added, “Do not tell anyone about what happened tonight. I will deal with it.”

After that, he walked away in his usual dignified manner.

Fiona gritted her teeth, aggrieved and angry. “Is Brother Zivon defending that b*tch? She's obviously guilty, so why won't he let me talk about it?”

Zayne quickly comforted her, “Zivon has his own reasons. Besides, didn’t he defend you and make her apologize to you? Don’t be angry anymore, alright?”

When Fiona thought about that, she instantly felt very happy. She pouted and decided to let it go.

Only Chace knew that Zivon was not actually defending Fiona. He had only said that because he was worried Fiona would really go downstairs and tell everyone what had happened.

“I did not go anywhere. You should use the Lockhart name to go to the surveillance monitoring room and get all the surveillance videos with me in it tonight.”

“Ah, what happened? Did you cause trouble?”

Xavia shook her head and narrowed her eyes. “Someone else caused trouble.”

“Oh, okay!” Daphne nodded and rushed off.

Xavia found Mr. and Mrs. Lockhart and walked over to them. Even though she hated them, the person who wanted to harm her might be nearby and they were her only form of protection.

When Mrs. Lockhart saw Xavia taking the initiative to approach them, she knew something was wrong. She did not say anything and continued mingling with the guests elegantly.

The banquet ended at ten o’clock at night.
