Though Mark wanted to run after her, Mr. Talton stood in front of him before saying, “Let her have some time alone. Chasing after her now will only make her hate you more.”

“H-hear us out! We also did it for you, Mark!”

Sneering in response, Mark then scoffed, “For me, you say…?! What bullshit answers do you have left in store for me?!”

Gulping slightly, Mrs. Talton replied, “…Look, we all know that you ended up divorcing Stella because you couldn’t move on from Xavia… We know that she’s already married, but you two truly were meant to be together… Since Young Master Burton is handicapped now, we figured that this was your chance… After all, a disabled man can no longer care much for his wife, and Xavia is still so young… Do you really want her to suffer for the rest of her life…?”

“We know it’s a horrible idea, but though Xavia may be upset for a while, we’re sure she’ll eventually come back to you and you two can finally have your happy ending… With all that said… Did you two sleep together last night?”
