“Hello? Is Von alright? Why isn’t he answering my calls?”

“Oh, don’t worry, Mrs. Burton. Young Master Burton and Mr. Miller rushed out of the house at dawn, so I’m assuming that they’re attending to some important matters.”

Though she was relieved to hear that Zivon was fine, she quickly shook her head before asking, “I see… and the babies? How are they?”

“They’ve been behaving properly, though they’ve already finished the breast milk you left them. Don’t worry, Young Master Burton made sure to feed them powdered milk once we ran out.”

“That’s good to hear… Alright, I’ll be back once my business here is done. I’ll be relying on you three to care for the kids until then.”

“Just leave it to us, Mrs. Burton,” replied the nanny, prompting Xavia to hang up with a sigh.

Staring at her, Mark couldn’t help but say, “…Finally willing to eat now?”

Nodding in response, Xavia then opened the lunch box that Mark had brought for her… but to her surprise, everything appeared home-cooked!

After staring at the mouth-watering dishes before her, Xavia was prompted to mutter, “…Did you-”

“Cook these? I did. Looks like your nose is as sharp as ever… Regardless, I made these since I wanted to make sure that you’d get the sufficient nutrients given your already poor health.”

Shaking his head, the smiling Mark then said, “I, for one, appreciate that fate brought us together back then… That aside, I was adopted into a caring family, unlike a certain someone…”

“Hey, Grandma loved me more than anyone else on the planet!” replied Xavia, prompting both of them to laugh…

Unbeknownst to them, Mr. and Mrs. Talton had been peeping at them from outside the ward for a while now… and eventually, they exchanged glances before making their way back to their office.

“Stefan finally has hope… That is, if Mrs. Frankston agrees to continue donating her blood to Stefan. Then again, he’s helped her a lot in the past, so maybe…” muttered Mrs. Talton.

“Don’t even think about it. Remember, she’s royalty, and you know how much Young Master Burton loves his wife. We both know that she doesn’t exactly have the best health, so why would he ever allow his wife to donate blood to her ex, no less?” scoffed Mr. Talton.
